IMO, this pic of the hs looked much better than the final product. Still an amazing figure doe.

I'd be willing to be they're the same sculpt just different lighting. You have a dimly lit photo most likely taken with a point and shoot camera vs an over exposed pic most likely taken with a high end camera by a professional photographer.

It's similar to how lots of times HT figures look even better in those toy hunters display videos/pics than the official pics.

Not sure why people don't see Depp -it's a good likeness. And it was an awesome movie too.

Still waiting for a gangster figure of Tom Hanks from Road to Perdition.

man I'd totally buy that figure. It would be great if DiD eventually does a figure of him in that role relatively soon to go along with these other "gangster" characters they're releasing.

I still see depp, just a bit off. This is my dream figure lol and yea a road to perdition figure would be just as awesome. Maybe a Kevin Costner from the untouchables.

Thanks for the pics! :hi5:

Can't wait for this. It's the only figure I have that's coming soon, everything else is slated for next year.

Did you order yours straight from HK?

It's nice to see a company produce what looks to me like a top class figure, easily in the Hot Toys class, for what is a fair/reasonable and realistic price point.

I find more and more of my collection is coming from 'other' companies and less and less from Hot Toys (mainly due to thier outlandish pricing policy) so roll on more of these quality pieces.

To be fair, DiD doesn't pay the license fees that Hot Toys does.

:lecture

Main reason this isn't high priced...also the reason it's not 100% accurate. Coat doesn't have the plaid pattern, shoes are black and white instead of brown, band on the fadora should have a dark purple hue instead of being black. However, I have brown shoes waiting, the pattern on the jacket isn't a deal breaker and I like the black band instead of the dark purple

Thanks glad you like the pics.

Yep, I ordered from HK last week.

He's really good quality for the money, I'm very pleased. I've started getting some custom figures and ones from other companies too, HT seem too focused on super heroes.

Yeah, I can overlook those inaccuracies for the price I paid. I'm just happy to have another Depp figure! :lol

Only thing I'd add is an actual pair of black gloved hands as all that's provided is a pair of material gloves you're supposed to slip over a pair of the un gloved hands.

I gave my Bruce Wayne the coat and hat to make a John Dillinger and Melvin Purvis ;)

The hat doesn't sit right but the coat is nice.

To be honest this figure is quite expensive compared to other DID.

Even the Kerberos Panzer Cop which is officially licensed only cost around $100 (retail), and the Armstrong Astronaut also. Both are great figures even though the body isn't as great as HT the outfit are pretty good.

They should focus more on those instead of some hollywood figure.

Fist off, you're confusing Dragon in Dreams, more affectionately known as DID and Dragon Models Limited, aka Dragon aka DML. Two different companies.

Second, you're talking about a figure that was $100 in 2002. That was when most other figures were $40. Hardly a bargain.

DID offers the most bang for your buck of any manufacturer out there today. Most of their figures are $120 and come with two very realistic headsculpts and/or two different outfits. I don't think there's any better value out there in 1/6 right now than a DID boxed figure.

Sorry for the mistake, both were Dragons and both make 1/6.

But the $100 price tag was in 2011, when they re-released the updated Kerberos, the Armstrong is also around 2012 price tag.

Back in 2002 the Kerberos was about $50.

Anyway i mistaken the 2 companies but still kinda pricey.
