Got mine the other day. Here are my scores

Box 6/10
Head sculpt: 8/10
Clothing 7/10
Body 6/10
Accessories 9/10
Value for money 7/10

Overall 7/10

The box is pretty much standard it houses the figure well & its cover can double as a backdrop, unfortunately Dragon messed the backdrop up, it features two cars one is a Mini van and the other looks like a Morris Minor, so both cars are not of the era the figure is from which ruins the backdrop.

The head sculpt is very good imo. I like the fact that they went for the sinister looking smirk look, which they used on the movie poster, I think the only thing holding the sculpt back is the paint work, no one can touch Hot Toys when it comes to paint apps, although its a decent effort.

The tailoring on the clothes is very good, he can wear 4 layers in total, shirt, waistcoat, suit jacket & his trench coat. I find all those layers make the figure look too bulky so I just use the shirt, waistcoat & trench coat. I took a point off because the hat they included does not fit the figures head which is very disappointing as I wanted to pose him wearing it. His shoes can scuff up easy too because of the white colouring.

The body is your standard Dragon body, I am not a fan & would much rather him be on a True Type. I can never seem to pose a Dragon figure like I can a HT figure.

The accessories are the stand out feature for this figure.

4X Bundles of US dollar bills, in $50 &$100 denomination
1X Money bag
1X Gold pocket watch
2X Extra set of hands, relaxed trigger finger
1X pair of black gloves
2x Cigarettes
1X Hat
1X Sunglasses
1X Facemask
2X Pistols & a double chest holster
1X Violin case - with a Tommy gun inside
1X 1/1 scale screwdriver

Tons of great stuff in the box. The violin case which really holds a Tommy gun is the standout accessories, the gun feature metal and wooden parts! As I said the hat is a let down and the two pistols are just plastic and look pretty cheap.

The price is the price I guess, you will either get this figure or not. I paid £120. Maybe closer to £100 would of been better, considering this is an unlicensed product.

In brief a very good product all in all, Let down by the backdrop and the ill fitting hat.

Very honest and knowledgeable review. I don't have it in hand yet, but I can see what you're saying. I'd like to see someone repaint this head, then I'll consider sending it out to get painted or maybe trying it myself.

Honest I'm sure, but I completely disagree about the paint job! I know that for some it's a sacrilege, but for me, both DID agent Jack and bank robber Johnny surpass HT as far as paint job is concerned.

Actually, I think HT could learn a thing or two from them! But of course, it isn't politically correct on this board that HT isn't the pinacle of painting.

As for the body, it's really good too and as good as your average TrueType. But of course, that's just my opinion...

Yeah you might be right about the paint, the sculpt is very good but there is just something off about it. :dunno
Hot Toys seem to even put blemishes & freckles on their faces, Maybe Johnny hasn't got any though. :lol

True about the blemishes and freckles. But like some people ( I think it was Rorywan who first pointed it out), I think that HT reached the top a few years ago with figures like Superman, but recently, they seem to apply a lot more paint layers which tends to make the portraits less natural... Although I have to admit that the most recent ones, like Colton, didn't seem to suffer from that and they seem to have gotten back to their standard.:)

I have one coming soon. Looks pretty good. I don't know, something looks off about the paint. Maybe it's just me.

I really don't want to turn this into a DiD Vs Hot Toys post. I'll just say I like both work from both companies,

I love that Thompson and Coat!

ClipperKing, in your review for "Wall Street Killer" you loved the feel of the coat. How does this one compare?

I'm not sure how I missed this one. Beautiful! The best price I've found is eBay @ 170 US shipped. Any other places still available for cheaper?

Other than the felt issue with the hat, did it got the head? If not, I'm going to buy a second sculpt and cut/sand some of the hair so it can fit

I just watched Clippers review on this and boy is this one sharp looking figure. Most things about it are top notch. I really the dig Thompson w/the violin case and the outfit the best I think. Even the sculpt looks a lot like Depp with the sunglasses on. I don't think I'd be too hard on the likeness without the sunglasses considering it's an unlicensed item from one of the smaller companies. Even so, I don't think the likeness is all that bad to begin with anyway.
