I knew after it came out more and more people were going to say it wasn't that bad. And now that's what were seeing in this thread.

Just got back from watching it. Saw the Deadpool ending. I loved it and will buy the DVD. Alot of people in the theater and they seemed to enjoy it as well. I think when you want to hate something you will.

Just saw this. From a person who doesn't know (or care) squat about what's in the comics and only knows Wolverine and the other mutants from the other movies......I liked it. I liked it a lot. Liev Schreiber was very good and Jackman -- as good as in the other movies. I don't understand why some didn't find the Logan/Victor relationship believable. I guess I'm not reading enough into any of it. In fact, I liked this better than Watchman. No expectations going in (it IS an action fantasy after all); much preferred this -- no pretentions or attempt at being anything else than it was.

:rock :rock :rock

I think there will be another one and I'll be there!

Dont get the hate, this was a fun movie.

I for one expected more than a mindless popcorn flick.

Jackman agreed that by X3 Wolverine had gotten soft and wanted to change that with this movie. Instead we got another neutered Wolverine.

The plot and script were not very good or original, plot holes and gaps in logic, too many characters with poor character development (maybe actually focus on Wolverine and his story without trying to shoehorn in all the needless cameos), too many inconsistencies with what was established in X1 & 2.

I do think that Jackman and Schrieber did a great job with what they were given to work with.

But hey, if you just want check your brain at the door and watch the big loud mindless action, I am sure that some will have enjoyed it.

I liked it. I had low, low expectations with all the hate and bad critical reviews...so I didn't think it deserved quite the amount of hate it got. Not a masterpiece by any stretch, but very entertaining. Isn't that what most summer blockbuster's are?

JAWS demonstrated what the summer blockbuster could be in the 70's with STAR WARS adding fuel to that fire-- so when did we start to say that summer blockbusters couldn't be great films?... When did we start to settle for mediocrity? Poor special effects and poorer writing?

I'm looking forward to STAR TREK because I think J.J. gets it-- I've been pulled over to the darkside of Bay with the first TRANSFORMERS and even though I'm a G1 purist I was happily surprised with the first outing and therefore I'm anxious to see the Fallen... G.I.Joe? I'm quite sure that this movie was also created by a studio AND NOT by an artist which is how I would characterize WOLVERINE. When a group of people make a movie for the sole purpose of meeting the demands of a tampering (and sadly mis-informed) studio then the resulting mess is Daredevil... Electra... Catwoman... Wolverine... When a studio stays out of the way and lets an artist (with vision) create a movie we get something that fanboys AND the general public can feel equally passionate about along the lines of THE DARK KNIGHT and IRON-MAN (and even to a lesser extent but still there, THE HULK).

It's too bad WOLVERINE did so well at the box office-- We're guaranteed more studio pictures now with awesome studio interference.

I enjoyed it, but didn't love it. Weak on substance, but good stupid fun.

and yeah, I agree with everyone - Sabretooth was outstanding.

I think the movie did it's job of explaining Logan's origins. It possibly could have been better but it did what it was meant to do. It was good IMO

I know some people disliked it but I loved Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and even didn't mind Barakapool at the end. I'd watch a solo film of Reynolds as this character even if the mutant had all those powers.

Just because you didn't like it, doesn't mean the world is lost because some people liked it. You are a friend, Carl... but you and the critics of the world are not the "End all be all" of cinema fans. :lol

And don't you love Kingdom of the Cyrstal Skull, Carl? ;) The same reasons why people are defending/liking this one are the same reasons people defended/liked KotCS... what's the difference?

Time went by quickly during the movie, so I definitely wasn't bored with it, but after it was over I wasn't all that impressed.
