I loved it, I enjoyed it a lot and Hugh Jackman is ^^^^ing awesome as Wolverine!

And don't you love Kingdom of the Cyrstal Skull, Carl? ;) The same reasons why people are defending/liking this one are the same reasons people defended/liked KotCS... what's the difference?

I only know that I liked KOTCS and I couldn't even think about buying a copy of Wolverine when it's released on DVD much less sitting through it ever again. To each their own I guess...

Exactly - because I feel the same way about KotCS (one of the only movies I ever almost walked out of) ;) :duff

I like KOTCS too! :lol

Maybe this movie was a setup for a much better one later. :dunno
I don't understand why people are hating on this movie so much. There have been MUCH worse movies out there that this that barely get mentioned.

I really have to wonder how many would've liked this had it not been leaked beforehand. I glad I decided not to watch it and to decide for myself.

I really enjoyed this flick. I expect to go to the theater and see it a second time.

I don't love KOTCS. I just don't hate it and didn't get the overt hostility towards it. Because...

What's the difference? While KOTCS has its fair share of goofy/cheesy/annoying moments, it's at least technically a competently made movie and miles ahead of WOLVERINE in that area. That isn't even subjective.

To you :monkey3

It's the same, apples to apples - a ton of the effects were goofy in KotCS, the story was muddled and confusing, there were way too many characters, bad acting, etc etc etc. (although I would argue that the story & plot is less muddled in Wolverine than in KotCS and the acting is WAY better - putting them about on par when it comes to technical competence)

I think that I just happen to like Wolverine better because I'm not as attached to the source material as I was with Indy :peace

Agree to disagree. :duff :duff :duff

Agreed!

Indeed.

But the leaked is the same as the theatrical....and my problems were with the story/characters....and CGI and Music cannot fix that.

I think it boils down to who is deep into the comics and who isn't. There aren't too many movies that follow the books or comics that they're based on to a T. I think that's impossible in most cases.

I agree. I have not read comics in many years, I watch the cartoons beyond that I am out of touch with the characters history.

I enjoyed Wolverine. I don't have a bias because it doesn't follow the true origins etc. I didn't find holes in the story because I do not know the comic version of Wolverine's origins and I though the acting (Logan / Sabertooth) was solid. I would agree too many characters without real value to the plot seemed pointless and certain FX shots weren't top quality but neither impacted my film exerience to foster such hate for the flick.

IMO a solid 7 / 10.

That's part of it but it's personality type and taste as well. I'm an avid comic reader and I can take Wolverine for what it is and enjoy the hell out of it.

I have never read a comic until recently, and this is after the movie was leaked. I didnt like it. So none of my issues (sans the DP one) were about the comic, but more so the script, and everything else.

:lecture :lecture right on dusty. after the first 20 minutes of KotCS i wanted to walk out of the theater and still refuse to watch it again. i really enjoyed wolverine and plan on seeing it one more time while its in the theater. it wasn't oscar material, but it certainly delivered the action goods.

I can understand not liking KOTCS. I really can. But hating it yet thinking WOLVERINE is good makes about as much sense as:
