I have no doubt that Sideshow will use the appropriate fabrics for this line. I envision them to be similar to the models used in Corpse Bride.
I guess different kinds of people prefer different types - which do you prefer?
or this?
If they add little details like some of the Disney Big Figures, i'll be happy. The Jessica has sparkles on her dress, Tinker Bell has fibre optic wings, and Kermit has flocking, real banjo strings, and light up fire flys. Little stuff like that.
I like the extra detail/shading, etc on the GG one, but it needed to be 'on model' like the WDCC one. So I guess I'm hoping the PF's will be a mix of the two.
Other wise you basically just have the WDCC or Electric Tiki statues, with flat colour, at 1/4 scale (with real cloth added).
While it may work at those smaller scales (pretty sure most of those are 1/6 or smaller), at 1/4 scale large flat area's of solid colour and cloth will just look to plain and boring. Or maybe its just me.
That Kermit Big Fig sounds awesome I've never seen it. I'm gonna have to scour the parks to see if there are any there when I go back again. May have to get that one.
I want a Mufasa !
I have only seen him once at the Art of Disney store at Downtown Disney. I was about to buy him till i noticed someone broke one of the fire flys off the springs.
Hopefully I find another one at the Magic Kingdom next month for visit number 13. :chew
I do actually, at home. It was rolled pink fondant with the Lenox white porcelain Aurora and Philip on top. I'll have to see if I have digital copies on my home computer and I'll upload them later.
Q: Since Sideshow has the Disney License, will we see a Rocketeer Premium Format in the future?
A: When you wish upon a star…

I have that Corpse Bride you linked to, but I got her by herself so she's looking straight forward instead of to her right and I like it a lot better that way. I also have Victoria in her wedding dress. I absolutely adore them. And I have a Jun Planning Jack Skellington, with a very normal face (he came in a turquoise coffin).I have a lot of the Jun Planning figs from The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Corpse Bride and James and the Giant Peach and the clothes on them are pretty damn good. The Bride reviewed here was fantastic, and I love the Pastor Gaswell figure it's still a favourite, he's on permanent display in our dining room.
If SS can look upon dressing them as if they were stop motion replicas of the aimated figures I think that would be a giood starting point. I dont mind some interpretation at all, but I want them to be as close to what we have seen on screen as possible. Though to be fair most of the figs I'd want would be Pixar like Buzz, WALL-E, The Incredibles etc. I wonder if we'll get a working angle-poise lamp balanced on a ball... money for old rope!

Which means "no" to Rocketeer, but Jiminy Cricket is a lock!
