Re: DISNEY / FOX Deal Close! Thread Still Open! Please Come In!

That's not necessarily true, we have no idea what will happen to the more mature characters/films that Disney could acquire. If they release them under Touchstone or another way to keep them separate that would be great.

However, if the deal spares us "Singer" inspired X-Men team films and gives us more comic accurate representations of the characters, i'm happy about it. Bonus points if we get the X-Men interacting with the rest of the Marvel U too.

I hope they flush anyone who's been involved with the series since TLS, including spinoffs.

I'm actually pretty stoked because this opens up the big villains for future phases such as Galactus or DR Doom.

Finally doing a proper Dr. Doom would be the only way to get me interested in MCU FF.

Show me something similar to this and I'll get excited.

They can leave off Wolverine's mask. I don't think they can make that not look goofy in live action. Maybe with (much) smaller ears. But no one else covers their face so what's the point?

Re: DISNEY / FOX Deal Close! Thread Still Open! Please Come In!

They could do a cowl like Batmans... smaller ears. Could work.

Re: DISNEY / FOX Deal Close! Thread Still Open! Please Come In!

No way, that would look silly in live action! - Fox executive

Singer was responsible for no cowl and for good reason. It made no sense.

But now in the new X-Verse, where the X-Men are public heroes/celebrities, you could justify it.

I don't mind the black costumes in the early 2000's. It was a different time, the 90's killed the super hero genre, and wearing black was the "mature", "cool" thing to wear because of the Matrix.

The early X Men films had to appeal to the general audience, so they had to ground the character's outfits enough to make them look less like cartoon superheroes and more like, a team of mutants in a "real" word setting, where there is prejudice against certain people.

I think now in 2017, people are ready for those comic accurate costumes.

Re: DISNEY / FOX Deal Close! Thread Still Open! Please Come In!

Yea I definitely understand the 90s outfits but as a kid it confused me a lot and so did many others.

He's naked...

Well, yeah. How else would he show the world how artistic he is? Everyone knows that the smaller your **** is, the smarter you are. :lecture

I ain’t clicking play lol

I, too, wouldn't wanna be blinded by his massive manhood. Fassbender? DaFoe? Leto? Hamm? Affleck? Jodorowsky's on a whole 'nother level.

He looks like the type of fella that would want your Facebook to make sure you're a child that lives with their parents.

Looks like the type of fella that'd make a nice trap...

What a surprise? More cowardly baiting from a keyboard warrior who would RUN from me in person lol

I knew you wouldn't respect the Mod's suggestion to "play nice". Little boys who watch anime always wanna break the rules on forums and act like punks. You grew up in a generation that doesn't understand respect because nobody ****ed you up in high school so you like acting brave online.

If cowards like this were the generation who had to fight in WWII this country wouldn't even exist today.

Damn Snikt, is Jodorowsky your Husbando or something?

Disney looking to convert the following movies into streaming shows:

Die Hard, Alien, Planet of the Apes, Kingsman, Predator, Home Alone, The Omen, and Ice Age

Disney also considering a rated R theatrical label.

Re: DISNEY / FOX Deal Close! Thread Still Open! Please Come In!

Interestingly it was just explained to me that Disney isn't buying Fox, its just buying 60 billion worth of Fox assets (Marvel stuff, Star Wars, etc.). Is that correct? For 60 billion I would think you get the studio, the lot and all its titles.

Also, the original Star Wars finally gets to join its brethren without attachment.

As I understand it, they are purchasing the studio - 20th Century Fox, and all of it's entire filmed entertainment library. They are not buying the parent media corporation, 21st Century Fox. 21st Century Fox, which separately produces news and sports programming, and some other assets I'm vague on.

But that's just my layman observation based on what I've read.

That is likely true- makes sense!

Zack Snyder's Home Alone V Omen.

There's no way they're going to stop the Deadpool train. Other adult-content titles might get a better shot if Disney feels the need to start a whole new label to rake in that Deadpool money.

Re: DISNEY / FOX Deal Close! Thread Still Open! Please Come In!

So there will be a 21st Century Fox but quite possibly no longer a 20th Century Fox?

I would greatly miss that opening Fox fanfare.

With the amount of large studios decreasing because you just know future mergers are being worked on I don’t see Disney being afraid going the rated R route with less competition to worry about.

Like you said why leave money on the table when you don’t have to.

Maybe Fox’s Searchlight pictures is their way in.
