It seems rather unlikely that any actor playing any character previously would be recast in the same role for the MCU, even Jackman. And it is also extremely unlikely that Marvel would only have Wolverine in cameos and not his own feature films. It would leave billions on the table.

I wonder if the prospect of Fantastic Four and the X-Men entering the MCU is now making any of the current MCU actors reconsider leaving (assuming some of them were planning to)

My guess is whoever’s contracts are up might take a break and come back in cameos. Either pass their hero mantle on or they can just focus on the new roster. Some of these guys have been MCUing for a long time. They need to get back out there so they can appreciate that steady income and come running back.

Jackman will have top billing in any movie they use him in. He's bigger than RDJ.

Frankly, the more I think about it, the more it makes sense. An MCU without RDJ, Evans & Hemsworth starring Cumberbatch, Larson & Boseman sounds incredibly lame. Now, an MCU starring Jackman, Cumberbatch, Larson & Boseman ---> that's a winner.

I love wolverine as a character, but that doesn't mean they have to do any more solo movies of him. There's other characters they can develop that could be successful. If Guardians of the Galaxy is any indication, with the right story, they can build many characters up to popular status.

If Disney creates a “mature” MCU label it would be cool to have Wolverine show up in the family friendly stuff and have solo movies where they can explore the more violent/graphic aspects. You could have Avengers and Logan level stuff at the same time.

I like Hugh but.....

RDJ and Iron Man 1 is the reason for Marvels success. Period. If that flick was a dud, oh man an entirely different movie landscape we would have right now. As well a collectibles on this site.

This is completely accurate. 2008 is when MCU was born. I remember going into that movie (having seen Ben-devil, "Hulk," and...Ghost Rider), I thought Ironman 1 was going to suck. I remember saying "holy ****" after the credits hit. IM1 is the grandfather of MCU
