Nah, I still say that Favreau's connection to Disney (Avengers consultant and pioneer of the MCU) and Star Wars (Pre Visla's voice on The Clone Wars) makes him the frontrunner.

I can't see an episode 7 happening without Weadon's involvement, either writing, directing or perhaps both.

He's the big man at Disney. 1.6 billion on Avengers means he can cherry pick any job he wants. He loves Star Wars.
