I am not self righteous. I am however interested in pursuing the path of righteousness, which is not the same thing. I have always valued making decisions based upon which is the most righteous action. You can value righteousness without being self righteous.

However, to those who have little to no interest in righteousness of any kind, they PERCEIVE anyone who has an interest in righteousness and doing the righteous thing as being self righteous. It is their defense mechanism for their moral disinterest.

I have plenty of room to adopt more righteousness in my life. I can be pious and at times moralizing.
I think the pursuit of righteousness is the most important goal in life. otherwise it is to treat life as some sort of game of insincerity and arbitrariness with sophistry and filled with caprice and devoid of any inherent meaning.


I have no problem with being labeled so long as that label is 100% accurate and objective. If people want to call me an intolerant moralist on some issues, that is ok because that shoe fits.

It is interesting that people would call me self righteous because I object to the exploitation of others. Other people seem to derive pleasure from exploiting others and therefore call me self righteous when I argue against that exploitation.
