The only thing I don't like is their boots. I mean... WTF?

Its' funny because I remember people really making fun of "the epic confrontation" in the last Twilight coming so soon after the thousands of extras clashed in The Dark Knight Rises and now four years later Civil War has even smaller groups of people charging each other than Twilight did. :lol

It is a kind of goofy concept. Particularly Hawkeye. What the hell is he gonna do, running full speed at Iron Man and Vision? :lol

But at least Marvel's not afraid to embrace the goofy. We can have guys in masks having conversations for more than 4 seconds or whatever.

Maybe it's just a cleverly misleading trailer and the team is simply rushing to make their connecting flight? Dr. Strange gets left alone in New York, hijinks ensue, etc.

Shouldn't Hawkeye just be hanging back sniping dudes. :lol

But why is WB getting hammered for being "serious" when they had Batman and Superman rushing towards each other just the same!

No less goofy! :dunno

Well, WB likes to think that they're making highly intellectual dramas and not movies about super-heroes, so when you take something silly and dress it up like a thinking piece, it comes across as ridiculous. Whereas Marvel embraces the goofiness and accepts that they're superhero flicks. Not to mention that they went from "it transcends the genre" to "it doesn't take itself too seriously". It's all about context.

I agree, and yet they think it is much more serious, as is obvious based on the tone and Snyder's own words.

Which could be an Ed Wood-style formula for hilarity, but it sadly isn't :(

That's his impersonation of Hulk.

Oh... Is that always the case? I mean, doesn't that get kinda tiresome for someone after a while? I imagine it'd take some effort to turn whatever you want to say into Hulk speak. Still, kudos for the originallity.
