So between now and Saturday I must become uber familiar with the iPlayer and check out that streaming function it's supposed to have. But for now, it's entering grades and then sleep!

More bones would have been thrown in the last series but the BBC were afraid Catherine Tate would have kept chasing after them and that would have disrupted filming.

Here's to a FANTASTIC new Doctor, companion, producer and all round AWESOME new era.

I want it to be so f'ing good that the previous one soon becomes forgotten about, or at least not remembered with such an absurd level of hype and praise being attached to it.

Just spent the last hour updating my netflix queue with the most recent WHO releases and making sure they are in proper release order. I have 48 classic DW discs (no bonus discs) and 14 instant streams in my queue. :lol Thats going to take me another year or more to get through them all.

Matt Smith was a guest on "The One Show" on BBC1 last night and he came across very well. He mentioned that to prepare for the role he watched the entire Classic era and also confirmed his favorite Doctor is Patrick Troughton.

If he can somehow channel even a tiny bit of the Trout's awesomeness into his performances then he'll be the greatest of the "new" Doctors by some considerable margin as Pat was the greatest all round actor to play the Doctor.

Tom & Jon were outstanding in a different way as they were essentially being themselves but from the few interview clips I've seen of Pat he was quite different when being himself and was well known in the UK as a character actor years before he became the Doctor.

Tomorrow! :rock

Agreed about the Trout. Hopefully he can channel a bit without being a parody or imitation.

Subtlety is the key. It just needs the odd gesture or expression, he doesn't need to go round saying "Oh my giddy aunt!" every 5 minutes.

I think we are poised on the edge of what just may be the greatest era of Doctor Who. I am not a Moffat worshipper nor am I a Matt Smith lover... It's just a feeling. Hope I'm right.

I don't think anything done in the modern style will ever beat the era when Philip Hinchcliffe was in charge so I'll just settle for a modern version of the show that I can actually sit through without wanting my spleen to burst.

Based on the clips so far I already believe Matt Smith will easily surpass his predecessor as he sounds way more convincing and he has the kind of oddball aura that the character gradually lost once Tom left.

The real concern I have now is whether the scripts will be any better than the drivel of the previous regime because I am yet to be convinced of Moffat's alleged genius.

A totally new era! = :mexwave :mexwave

How I might get through it if things are as horrible as the previous one = :drink :drink :drink

I think it will after it finishes in the UK. I think it's still airing right now. iPlayer isn't our only hope, "There is another..."
