I loved it. My boys were both on the edge of their seats the whole time. Loed it it loved it loved it. Best "WTF" ending ever.

Ditto on that TOM. I had no idea about that ending. Glad this is the first series I will remain relatively spoiler free.

I have watched entire season 5 and Mattt Smith is excellent as Doctor.Season 6 started very strong first two episodes were very good.Episode 2 ending was WTF!!

It sure wasn't by me. My jaw was on the floor. :eek

So was mine. That was truly terrific. But coming from Moffat, not surprising. And the dwarf star alloy cube--thank you Mr. Moffat for another great allusion to classic Who. The last story with Romana II, Warrior's Gate, featured a starship made from dwarf star alloy.

A reference that will go over the heads of the majority of viewers so therefore completely pointless.

If Moffat wants to do a "nod" to proper Who he ought to try telling a story that doesn't leave so many unanswered questions.....it's Doctor Who, not Lost.

I didn't get the reference but I havnt seen that many classic episodes but its great for those who can catch those, i thought it was the same stuff 10 made the chains out of in the Family Of Blood. I've been a bit crap with spoilers but that ending was great I just wish I wasn't so impatient! That house was very creepy, who was the woman with the eye patch in the door window that didnt exist?

I liked the episode. but it was a bit confusing for me. So the ending with the baby scanner thingy going from positive to negative to positive etc, what does that mean, that the fetus is in flux or something?

So if spacesuit girl is the daughter of Amy and the Doctor (when did that happen?) I guess it's unlikely that she's also River Song? Cause flirting with your Dad- that's as bad as flirting with your Son.

But if some other Timelord is her dad - (although Amy hasn't encountered the Master, has she?) then the little girl could still be River.

And although she died in Library - maybe that's her last incarnation - this kid may burn through all 12 in the course of this season.

Incest, the game for all the family! :lol

I have a feeling that the kid's father will not be a result of a liason between the Doctor & Amy....at least not directly.

My ( somewhat educated ) guess is that somehow the Silence were able to create a clone of the Doctor and they got the......."juice" or whatever the hell Time Lords have and gave it to Amy whilst they held her prisoner and the kid is a test tube baby of sorts.

So although the Doctor is the father it's not THE Doctor.

All we know for certain is that the girl is of timelord origin.
It is also clear that the Silence needed her for some reason.
They also needed a space suit.

We still dont know the significance of the ship. Is it the Ackerman road ship? or just of the same type? Scavanged?

Amy was told by the Silence, 'we honour you' & 'she will bring the silence'.

The silence must have time travel capabilities, They had what was strongly suggested to be Amy's daughter. The child had not been born yet but was exisisting in 60's America. The ship is very tardis like.

I wonder if a Timelord child regenerates, does it regenerate into the body of a child, or can the age be variable, like the doctor?
The next time we see her she will be very different. Could be any age, at any point in future history post 1969.

It will be interesting to see how Moffat proceeds with this.

To me it all seems a bit wibbly wobbly timey wimey. River's and the Doctor's reaction after the kiss has me thinking the timeline has changed or the Doctor isn't the Doctor.

I don't know what the hell is going on, but I love it. Maybe the kid is Rory's and it comes out with "time face" as Amy put it, as a result of all their time travel shenanigans.

The Doctor's death still isn't resolved, I'm a little miffed about that.

Who wants to bet that the doctor we saw die was the clone and the person in the spacesuit that shot him was the REAL Doctor?

I took that as they have kissed before but this time when she kissed him he didn't realise she was going to do it and it was the first time for him which lets her know shes never going to be able to be close to him in that way again and in fact shes closer to the day she dreads than ever (the day he doesn't know who she is)

That would be incredibly lame. They went out of their way to say that The Doctor who was killed was *THE* Doctor. Amy specifically mentioned a clone during her denial tirade. If it's still a clone after that, then that's some pretty piss poor writing.

I'm guessing it's going to be "fixed" through some timey whimey shenanigans.

Either that or the "time can be rewritten" get out of jail card will be inevitably brought into play.

Incidentally who coined the "timey wimey" thing because it sounds like something a little kid would come up with?
