This week also had more then a few nods to the classic series. They mentioned the Eternals again. I cannot wait for the Face of Boe next week though. To finally hear the the "secret", im excited.

yes, the secret is, "I have a HUGE headache".....

Jabba, remind me again what the reason for the 40 minute delay is? And Im with you, I need to know the secret NOW. That's actually something I DO NOT want spoiled for me. I've waited an entire season and this is something I want as a suprise :lol

Same here, I don't want it spoiled. I have read some pretty damn good theories, but I don't think they are right. I really hope the answer comes out of left field and not something like "Please pass the ketchup"

I could list you some that I have heard, but if there is any chance they are right, I don't want to spoil it.

There's the one I've heard forever about a statue dedicated to the Time War with four words written on it and while I think those words may be a part of the secret I don't think its the ENTIRE secret. Most things are only one season arcs and soo... I think we know where I am going with this. It will hint to the return of the Master. What I hope we get is this season is the return and next series is the Aftermath. The Doctor dealing with his nemisis. How did he survive? All that fun stuff. Just throw the Doctor into chaos.

I'm not sure what the actual reason was, I think the BBC just said Dr Who would return at the later time of 7.45.

Kind of annoying but maybe they were just trying to build suspense for the secret being revealed or something:lol

I've heard rumors that this season was going to deal with the doctor's family. did you notice in the last episode, that the doctor said he had a brother. never remember him saying that before...but here it is......the words I think the face of boe will say...scroll down...

your son is alive !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still stand by "You are NOT alone." But I still say there will be more to it because Im sure the Face of Boe would explain what it means instead of leaving the Doctor with more questions.

Maybe the Face Of Boe will die before he gets chance to tell the Doctor everything he knows, he was close to death in New Earth.

Oh well, only an hour until we get to find out what the secret is one way or another.

Oh and I found out the reason this week's episode is going out later, bloody football as usual.

It's an English tradition.

Everything else must make way, when the footies on, no matter how good the other stuff is, or how rubbish the match is:D

Fantastic. I just watched it thanks to falling asleep today but it was fantastic. Its interesting to note that apparently in Doctor Who confidential they say that both the Doctor and the Face of Boe are right in what they say.

Yeah I thought that was an interesting quote from DT myself, I wonder what it points towards.

My G/F made a wild guess at some kind of "Timelord/human hybrid" but I'm not sure, hopefully we'll still get the Master.

The next time trailer for Daleks In Manhatten looks badass though, can't wait to see that episode and their new look.

Well....last night's ep. was.......bloody terrible. I mean I like Doctor Who, I had a ton of books when I was younger, I watched the original episodes all the time, and have been watching each of these new series' in expectation of something great, the last episode I thought was really good was The Satan Pit.

Last night however.....oh dear, I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it, but the "creatures" ......:emperor. Hell's bells, a 3 year old could have imagined something better....ludicrous. Didn't see the spoiler or next week....hopefully it'll be a damn sight better than last nights effort

Please let's sign a petition banning Russell Davies from writing anymore poor scripts....at least someone else has writing duties for the next 2 weeks 2-part episode.

Got to agree with you there, The Impossible Planet/Satan Pit was one of my all time favourite episodes so far.

I thought Army Of Ghosts/Doomsday was pretty good as well though and Smith And Jones wasn't bad either.

The last two weeks have been disappointing though and why does there have to be a gay reference in every episode.

I've nothing against gay people whatsoever, but RTD particularly loves to put references in each and every episode.

The writer's personal agenda really shouldn't impact the plot each and every time they do a story IMO.

Some Spoilers.....

Suppose the doctor not being alone is the theme for this season, I bet that Captain Jack (since he is in the later episodes) is going to end up being something about what the face of boe said.

That would be interesting if true. Jack can't die... and the Doctor said he likes humans but he can't stand to watch them wither and die. Maybe they are setting something up to keep Jack on for a good long while? I mean.. who REALLY cares about Torchwood :lol

I doubt Jack will continue through into season four because season two of Torchwood has already been confirmed and he's in all the episodes apparently.

Mind you Jack does have those two years of his life where he can't remember what he was doing and did know the Daleks were involved in the Time War, so he could be involved somehow.

Don't want to panic anyone but Russell T Davies may be leaving the show soon, I read an interview with him where he said he wants to do other things and wouldn't want to still be around by season seven.

But is that really a bad thing, RTD leaving? I mean think of everyone wanting to probably work on this show now... and we'd (hopefully) not have a sexual preferance referance in every epsiode.

A sexual preference reference......... I kinda like that phrase:D

Yeah I think there'd be writers queuing up to work on Doctor Who once RTD decides he's had enough of things.

Hopefully they'd handle it with the respect it's due, I kinda like the mix of new monsters and classic foes RTD includes.

I didn't even realise the crabs (can't remember their actual name) from this week's episode were from a classic Who story as well with Patrick Troughton.
