I would let the one in the middle "exterminate" me......

:lol I think The Moff is still good. Anyway.. looks like the Specials will not be airing on Sci Fi but rather on BBC America. Only downside is that BBC America does not (yet) have an HD channel.

I love the description:

but when Karen came through the door the game was up. Funny, and clever, and gorgeous, and sexy. Or Scottish, which is the quick way of saying it.

:lol :lol :lol

She may be the pretty companion (in my opinion) since Zoe. :love

Looks like the 2005 model to me - same as in the Matt Smith promo shot. I am sure they won't unveil the new prop and the actor's costumes for another few months (ie when filming for series 5 begins).

That's the part that pisses me off. Oh well, at least I can still download it in HD.

she's cute for sure, but I like Freema better.

They really are going young aren't they. It may be awkward to have such a young but confident and compedent Doctor. It might be a difficult task for an actor to pull off. I wonder if they'll build more volunerability into the character because of it.

Also, I hope that grundge or whatever you call it look isn't her look for the whole season, looks like a knock off of the girl from "That 70s Show".

I love that name! :lol

Now that he's in charge, shouldn't he be "Grand Moff"?

The only thing I find "grand" about him is his nauseating arrogance and ability to win awards for overrated stories.

In other Who related news the third series of The Sarah Jane Adventures will be tarnished by David Tennant who'll be making a full appearance in a 2-part story.

The age of the new companion is no suprise and if the leads get any younger they may as well broadcast Who on kid's telly and be done with it.

Regardless of their acting ability there's no way such a young looking duo can be convincing in situations where they need to show some authority or strength and the inevitable romantic crap will ensure the show continues to reach the same depths as the RTD/Tennant era.

RIP Dr Who 1963-2005

I would be more positive if I could but even my favorite spinoff is gonna have Tennant stinking up the screen next series so that's 2 less episodes to watch and the only thing that I'm gonna look forward to with the main show is a ratings slump and eventual cancellation because so far the new era looks like it's gonna be as bad as the second half of the current one.

The girl is cute, but let's hope she can act. Let's face it, Billie and Freema aren't known for their acting chops; especially Freema. Watching her in THE DOCTOR'S DAUGHTER is almost laughable. Let's hope the new girl does a little better.

I remember a rumor a while back the Moff wanted the next companion to be celtic in origin.. I wonder if that rumor has anything to do with the casting.. I believe she was going to be a period companion too (ie not from modern day london).
