Looks too fast paced and not tense enough like how Doom III was with the use of the flashlight.

Fast pace is fine. It's a note to originals and they'll slow it down in certain places.
But there's no tension at all, feels like a funless roller coaster for modern audience.

I guess you got a point, but personally I'd think it would play better being more horror than COD.

They went full horror with D00MIII and fans said their "boo".
Comeback to the original action pace was inevitable.

I still have hope, but not a lot.

It seems like they got rid of what worked with Doom 3, but didn't add much of what worked for 1 & 2. I'm currently replaying Doom (almost done with Ultimate, and will move on to 2), and the trailer just doesn't sync at all with pace, mood, or anything. The enemies all look similar, and there's not much in the way of atmosphere.

But still, I'm a gigantic Doom fanboy, so I'm going to continue to hope for the best. But I'm just not sure about this.

Me neither, Doom went full modern/generic.

I swear, I'm having way more fun replaying Duke Nukem 3D than playing most modern games.

Doom, I am disappoint.

Wow. That looks really bad. Can't tell if it's Halo or Destiny or Borderlands. Doesn't really matter tho because it's not DOOM.

still waiting on the beta to come out. What's it been like a year and a half since it came free with Wolfenstein: The New Order?

I like they went for that classic look on that floating one eyed thing, I don't recall it's name... but overall this just looks like a completely different look and tone then it should be. I know the classics were, but fast past shooting is a big turn off to me on this. We have enough high action shooters... how about a good horror game for a change? Old school Doom wasn't really horror, but Doom 3 I think did it well with a good balance of action and horror.

Nice to see Doom3 is getting some love, I replayed it recently and it was quite frightening and tense, plus it still looks great even on a **** PC like mine.

it's just the camera angle, this picture doesn't do justice for Baron.
