I would probably say a medium, but I really think you should get your normal size jacket. And it all depends on how you want to wear it...a bit loose or snug.

Get size Large Joe... XL will be too big. I am a body builder and I am guessing my upper body is bigger than your's and it fits me nicely.
I can move around in it nicely and I am 5'10" and 170-180 lbs. I fluctuate. I have a size 28 inch waist. Next to no body fat. My upper torso is a good size though.
It's very soft and comfortable and I love the gold zipper on this... even comes with the "DRIVE" logo on the top label. BEAUTIFUL JACKET IN PERSON!

And don't be yella belly. I am going to wear it occasionally when I go out. I don't care what responses I get. Just use the old hammer on the hand to them if they make some arse comments.

thanks for the info. i'm afraid of an XL being too big and a L being too small, but since we're roughly the same size i think i'll take you're advice and go for the L. does the waist on your jacket sit too high? would you mind posting a pic of you wearing it so i can get a better idea of the fit and size?

There are only 4 sizes available on the official steady clothing site but there are more sizes to pick from at getgoretro.com including medium and there cheaper! although I didn't check out there shipping charge, if I want the medium should I buy trough these guys then?
get go retro is cheaper but they charged me $17 to ship, which is ridiculous. in the end, i only ended up saving about $7. i should've just went with steadyclothing, because get go retro's customer service is horrible. it seems they only have one woman answering the phones and emails and she takes forever to respond. i'm still trying to exchange the medium i ordered for a large and i've had the jacket for about 2 weeks now.
I've heard that she's really helpful actually. But I ordered from steady so can't say for sure.

I ordered from Getgo and I found Cathy really really helpful.
She said she was swamped and couldn't get back to me in time. I guess she's the only one who is doing customer service which is pretty ridiculous. Anyway, I wanted to return the jacket and exchange for another size but I didn't want to pay return shipping since she said herself that the size chart was changed numerous times. Since I ordered the jacket almost immediately after it became available, I felt I shouldn't have to pay any shipping since the sizes were advertised incorrectly. They also added "These jackets do run small" not too long ago. She said I would have to pay return shipping but not shipping for the new jacket. I was pretty annoyed, so I put the jacket on ebay last night and it sold in a matter of hours. I made a few bucks and now I don't have to deal with get go retro anymore. I will just buy another jacket from steady clothing which is what I should've did in the first place.
