Let me just add that Carey Mulligan was cute as hell in this! Love chicks who can rock the short hair like that.
She had me mesmerized, thats all I know lol

I knew I sort of recognized her or she looked familiar, even though I really didn't know who she was.
But she was also in that Oscar nominated film An Eduation, with Peter Sarsgaard, that is also a great film.

Refn and Gosling are both saying this is their John Hughes film with a head bashing. One of Hughes' signatures was his use of musical cues and relevancy to scenes. Every songs lyrics convey a message to coincide with what's on screen. If you pay attention to them it adds a lot to the story and character.

yeah i did hear that john hughes comparison in a couple of interviews, but i was referring specifically to the hammer scene and beach scene as having a michael myers vibe.

Saw this movie over the weekend, really good. The whole 80's/Miami Vice vibe of the opening pulled me right in, good soundtrack too. Until we got about half way through the movie I was beginning to wonder if Gosling's character was a mute though, a lot of just staring at people. I get it though, tension and all that, but I thought it slightly over used.

Still a highly enjoyable movie though.

i just called steady clothing because i was curious if they were going to have a size chart, since i could wear either a medium or large. i'd prefer the tighter fit. so for anyone who is interested in waiting for exact measurements of the jackets, she said the size chart will be up in about a week. she also mentioned the jackets are not made yet.
