Just ordered from getgoretro.com The jacket is $20 cheaper, but the shipping, for me anyway, was $10 more expensive than steady clothing. Final price was still cheaper than steady clothing.

I ordered from steady clothing cause the shipping was more expensive coming from getgoretro and i'd recieve it a week later in the mail since it would've went from california to maryland back to california which is ridiculous lol so i went with steady clothing now instead of 2 weeks after its shipped i'll get it in 2 days.

FilmDistrict is Being Sued for Marketing ‘Drive’ Too Well

Everyone’s complained about misleading and overly spoilerific trailers at one point or another. They’re all annoying, but they’re trailers. We deal with them.

Well, at least that used to be the case.

Now one member of society who’s so fed up with studios selling their movies in a “bait-and-switch” fashion is taking this very, very serious matter to where it belongs: the justice system! What film provoked her to take such an action? None other than FilmDistrict’s critical and fanboy darling, Drive.

Sarah Deming has filed a lawsuit — which will soon be a class action lawsuit, apparently — against FilmDistrict and the theater she viewed the film at, Emagine Novi. To her great disappointment, the movie wasn’t Fast and Furious enough.

The original story is here (clickondetroit, via Dave Poland), but one of her complaints is that Drive featured “dehumanizing racism directed against members of the Jewish faith, and thereby promoted criminal violence against members of the Jewish faith.” That was my exact interpretation of Drive as well. Clearly director Nicolas Winding Refn didn’t make a slow-burn thriller, but a total dig at the Jewish community. It was all a little too heavy-handed, if you ask me.

Worst of all, I can’t decide who comes off looking worse in this story: the plaintiff or Emagine Novi. Providing refunds to patrons who didn’t enjoy the movie? That’s ridiculous.

wow. what a dumb _____. she obviously doesn't understand or wish to abide by the normal rules of society. suing because you didn't like a movie? SERIOUSLY?i hate people like this. movies are hit or miss. you take that chance when you go see one. why am i even explaining this? oh yeah that's right, because of morons like this woman. just as bad is the theater willing to refund you if you don't like the movie. are ____ing serious? is this what we've come to?

she's clearly reaching and looking for an excuse to sue with all the jew hate bull____. if i was the judge i'd laugh in this woman's face and throw the case out.

I wish there was an online retailer in Canada to order the jacket, but I think I'll order it and just pay the nasty duty fees. I'm thinking of getting some sort of display for it.

I also agree that the jacket might be hard to pull off in 1:6 unless Kato or Rainman's tailor makes it, but then it'll probably end up being more expensive than the 1:1. Since I doubt we'll get a 1:6 custom I'm even more tempted now to order that Steady jacket.

your sig is brilliant.

haha thanks my brotha.

As for the shock and awe with my comment, I thought it would be loaded with 'driving' and car chases, yet we got like what....2 major chases?

It didn't have to be to make this film of the year for me :peace

I thought it was going to be more like Ryan O'neals 1978 movie The Drive and in some ways i.e. the actual driving part it was..

More of a love story then an out and out driving movie tho..

I enjoyed it.

Well I certainly think it is a nod towards The Driver however don't you?

Most certainly, the similarities is what i liked most about Drive.

O'neal played a quiet stiff upper lip character as does gosling.

The Driver full movie
