Reading some of the negative audience reviews, it still seems like some people got filtered. However abridged this may be, it's still not a typical "turn your brain off" blockbuster and I commend it for that.

It needed more MCU humor...maybe a dance off at the end.

I told some family/friends who asked about if it was good and worth watching to wait until they announce there will actually be a part 2.

I love Villeneuve and the cast but these types of genre films don't do huge business nowadays and will likely bomb. Especially if it opens near a CBM, Pixar or a horror film.

I posted that when the first part was announced. I was totally wrong. Admitting it now with a huge plate of crow.

I love the film and I'm ecstatic part 2 was announced!
