A friend and I saw "Eraser" at the theater years and years ago, and the only thing I remember about it was Schwartzenegger somehow killing a guy on a train (maybe he was run over by the train?), someone asking him about the guy, and Ahnold replying, "he had to catch a train."

Awesome.

Eraser is a pretty good action f^^^^

James Caan beating up Arnold was a bit of a reach though. And some of the worst CGI ever.

F L I C K is a bad word?

dutch please come back

....and Clint Eastwood likes to have his name written in capitals on the big screen too.

trying to convince myself more than anything, i checked the official hot toys japan page and the photos are gone but the product page is still up. the description also still says that the figure has had arnie's likeness rights cleared.

https://hottoys.jp/predator/dutch/index.html

this could be an oversight (i.e. they've forgotten to change the description) or a reiteration of what wookster said that this is just a temporary measure while they tweak certain sculpting issues, accessory issues or final legal details. i'd like to think its the latter. i mean it is an official hot toys site after all, so an oversight in not taking the description down doesn't seem likely.

(in fact, "this figure has arnie's likeness" is the big bold title near the top of the page. seems kinda silly if they plan to change the likeness, but didn't change this title)

Regardless of what the issue may be, it would be nice to have official word from HT that everything is on track with Dutch ...learning that there is an issue by pulling Dutch of their site and not saying anything about it, just isn't good service. If anything, Wooks has been the only real assurance in giving some insight to this, maybe HT should consider paying him :)

you're right, HT should have made an official announcement but maybe they don't want to rock the boat at all in case it affects their current negotiations. i was hoping my post would help reassure some people too that this seems to be a minor glitch (as opposed to a major dutch - badoom tisch!) and there's nothing to worry about. i think people are overreacting over this. looks like my mission failed :monkey2

Nah ..no mission failure at all on your part eighthsamurai but maybe HT's lol :)

As much as we can speculate on the issue and reassure each other all is good ..HT is the source and just needed to do the right thing by their customer/fan base and give a heads up, particularily those who have already paid up front (and in full) for Dutch through HK sellers/ebay.

I agree to what you said about there being an over reaction but I guess that is to be expected when prior notice or a reason has (still) not been given. Not to sound like a sideshow fanboy, but their dept of customer care/info is an area which Hot Toys could probably learn a thing or two from.

Anyhow, still looking forward to having (minor or major lol) Dutch on the shelf in the long run :)

Ok.. pure speculation here.

MAYBE.. this is what happened: HT secured the rights to Arnold's likeness, both side were happy with the deal. HT puts up photos of the figure, STILL both sides are happy. Then HT puts up specifics i.e. the price, and that's when all Hell breaks loose. Normally human figures don't run so much. Maybe.. just maybe the problem was when HT secured the rights, the company handling Arnold's likeness rights thought/assumed the figure would be within that price range (let's say $90 - $130 usd) and negotiated accordingly. Then when they found out HT was actually selling the figure for $170 usd.. that's when they had a problem.

Possible.
