That's damned expensive for a pre-order.

i have to agree - for £2.50 more you could have got it from forbiddenplanet (which has the most expensive prices i've seen), and you would have avoided any customs fees too. is there a reason you went for this particular auction? was it because it would arrive more quickly?

Exactly. My Two Face was around £130 total with EMS shipping when I bought him off eBay the second day he was out!

With a pre-order you never know when you may get it and that was quite high.

Sorry, I meant $170 - USD not GBP.

And Billy I got $130 shipped so I did ok but since the pics of Dutch were taken down I refused to pay both auctions and now the seller has an unpaid item strike against me.

I explained the HT situation with the likness and they know about it but they still wont withdraw from the transaction mutually (they'd still get their fees back if they did). I dont wanna pay $170 for a Dutch that doesnt have Arnold's likness nor do I want Billy alone I told em.

If HT cancel Dutch, Billy will have to be renamed "Private Billy No-Mates". :)

Hehe and I watched part 2 last night, I just wonder why it doesn't recieve the same praise as part 1. I love part 2 just as much as the first one.

Busey was cool, but as far as a leading role, I just hated Danny Glover. He had nowhere near the coolness factor of Ah-nold to me. I still enjoy it for what it was though, but Pred 1 all the way:rock

A lot of people (including Arnie which is why he refused to be in part 2) thought taking the Predator out of the jungle was a bad idea. I like both movies, but I actually prefer part 2 more.

Loved Part 2. Loved the urban jungle concept. Loved the new weapons. Loved that he could see in more than just infrared. Loved how they further developed Predator's sense of honour. Loved Gary Busey and Bill Paxton. Loved the ship, the trophy room and the Elder Predator!

K cool then i'm not alone! :lol Still I do prefer part 1 over 2 but in no way was part 2 inferior to the original. I loved the cast as well, very well done imo and what a great move stopping there. Well that is until AVP came out :sick

Predator 1 and 2 were fantastic but lets not get started on AVP.

hell yeah part 2 was way better

:lol:rotfl:lol you are out of your damn mind!

Predator 2 is pure crap.

Mctiernan is a great director with a classical film schooling. Stephen Hopkins can't direct and should have sticked to his crappy music videos.

Arnie didn't refuse to do it he couldn't do it becaise he was already in
filming for T2. I think this gets mentioned on the predator 2 making.
(second disc if you have the double disc edition.)

Predator 1 is a superior film to part 2 in every way, but I also thought that P2 got kind of a bad rap. It gets more hate from people than it deserves, IMO. I enjoy watching it from time to time, and it has its moments.

It definitely would've been cool as hell to see a Predator in NYC going against Dutch's brother. Damned financial constraints and shooting budgets:banghead

I think the human factor wasn't as strong, and in these movies that's important, which is why the AVP's haven't been too good, the human elements just haven't been good. Arnie and his team was a great mix of varying personas and they were engaging. Somehow there just didn't seem to be as much from Glover, Busey and Paxton. It is a very enjoyable film and just as fun as the first. As far as Predator itself, I like the P1 look best, but P2's screen time is much better used. I wish the P1 had more time on screen not in invisible mode.

It's a bit strange not being in the jungle, but I think it helps establish that it's just a hunter, but with humans as prey, keeping it in the jungle would almost be suggestive that it's a creature that should live among creatures, being in a city makes it something else with no limits.

No.. Arnold wasn't suppose to STAR in it, P2 was always going to be Danny Glover in the lead. The role of Keyes was made because Arnold refused to be in Predator 2 for the reason I said. Arnold didn't even sign on to do T2 until AFTER refusing to be in the 2nd Predator film.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, who starred as "Dutch" in the 1987 film, was asked to reprise his role in the sequel. Schwarzenegger was outspoken against the sequel's concept, feeling that taking it into the city was a bad idea. Schwarzenegger had to decline and decided to sign on for another sequel, Terminator 2: Judgment Day. The character was rewritten as the role of Peter Keyes (Gary Busey). Returning to the role of Anna in the sequel, Elpidia Carrillo was slated to be in two scenes but was cut back to a brief appearance on a video screen in the government agents' surveillance trailer. Her character is showing damage to the Central American jungle caused by the explosion at the conclusion of the first film.
