DX02 residue in abdominal area, has yours shown signs of it?

I took mine out of the box today and all four of the abs had the oil on them.

Okay, my washing in soapy water didn't work. But perhaps you really have to remove the suit completely and wash the body and the suit seperately.

3 days after opening:

24 hours after washing in soapy water (but not cutting the suit off the body):

I think at this point, might be best to just leave it be in hope of word from Hot Toys. Not sure how they know, but I wonder if you're washing the figure in soaps and things, if they'd reject request for a replacement if they offer replacements and resolve the problem. It would suck if they found a solution and could offer problem free replacements you people couldn't get them because of some of these experiments to try and fix it.

Concerning Batman oil problem in abs area, it was caused by the circle sticker and plastic bag of the belt, please take apart the circle sticker and plastic bag of the belt, then you can slightly wipe off the oil by tissue or finger. Please try and wipe off the oil once leak out to solve it.

i cleaned behind the ab plate ( between the suit and the body ) with a large q-tip two days ago and the leaking has really slowed up...im hoping this will stop completely in the next couple of days...

Well, another day after my tape trick, and the abs are still holding strong. No sign of residue. The strips under the abs are still leaking the oil, but not as bad as before. I just put a thin strip of tissue paper between the two suit layers to see if it can absorb anything that might be back there as well as to keep the two layers of the suit from touching each other, to see if that has anything to do with it.

If the Big Chap Alien dripped oil I wouldn't have a problem.
But on a matte black batsuit this is not a minor gripe.

They should be aware that their toy buying fans will not tolerate this kind of response. It is not a large community and this is a major blip on their track record.

Come clean about the oil problem HT!

perhaps they dont even know what the problem is and before they start making statments they want to investigate it. all these people bashing hot toys - its not like they deliberatly caused this problem to annoy everyone - give them time and perhaps they will find the solution.

I have had mine since a week after release and it has only just started.

Does appear that all are starting eventually though.
