Yeah this is what i have been experiencing also! Everyday it is getting that little bit better everytime i dab it. So i am guessing in the next couple of months fingers crossed that the oil will eventually dry up i guess
I'd say a week or two.

sorry dude i just had to do it.
Mine seems to ooze less and less every day, so it seems like all this oozing will stop at some point. I mean after all, this stuff can't come out forever, its reserves have to expire eventually.
or maybe we will all end up with black puddles with batmans head floating on it......
Oh no don't say that!!
If this will eventually go away I would accept it if HT can confirm the source of the residue and that it has no adverse effect on the rubber in the future e.g. rubber drying out and cracking.... I should take a picture of the Tumbler tire Toys2 has in display but that crack is NASTY!! But he admits to be his fault due to the hot spotlight only 2" away....
i'm afraid tissues won't do for my "oily residues". i need a double duvet!
actually, it's not cool. it's a serious medical... and housekeeping affliction.
I'd say a week or two.
Someone on the Hot Toys Facebook page said that the residue is because of some chemical mould and that giving the suit a gentle bath in washing detergent should stop it...
Any takers? I would try it if I hadn't sent mine back to ABC express already.
It involves taking the suit off and cleaning the true type as well.
Okay this makes sense. I said I was going to just let it sit, but this is more proactive. After 3 days standing with the belt off the sheen hasn't faded or increased to cover more area.
Unfortunately the top of the body suit is glued to the pants in the back and can't be pulled off without ripping the suit as far as I can tell.
So I removed all the parts I could, the bicep armor is glued to the suit, but everything else comes off fairly easily. The chest armor separates under the left(?) shoulder and slides off on the right if the head and hands have been removed.
I filled a bowl with warm, soapy water and used a sponge to wash the figure with the top and bottom rubber suit still on it. I washed under the armor in the front and pulled the pants down as far as I could (not far because of the glue in back) and used soapy water in there.
Rinsed thoroughly and then blow dry with a warm setting.
I set it so no rubber is touching anything, neck hole down to make sure all the water drains out.
We'll see what happens.
oh darn.... did you take any pictures of the suit in its orginal condition, possibly inside as well and saw any more residue build-up anywhere else like ... can't rememebr who cut his up
I have a pic of the original oil seepage. But I didn't take pictures under the armor, there really wasn't anything to see.
Hi, i taked my other destroyed batman dx suit and you can look from where the oil came, is not the belt, i think is the glue that they used to put the parts together:
It seems to me that it's very asymetrical/squint. Is this just the "seem" where the torso can be turned or is my paranoia justified? I've got the V1 John Connor and one of his knee-pads is squint - positioned on the inside of the leg instead of the middle and my DX01 Joker stands LEDs didn't work after the second day along with the nameplate lying loose right out the box.....is it me or is QC by HotToys not exactly a priority??
