DX02 residue in abdominal area, has yours shown signs of it?

I wouldn't say anyone ignoring this defect is in the wrong, it's their call, their money, but like the people slamming folks on FB that keep posting trying to get a response out of HT shouldn't be chiming in, they should respect that it is a problem for some people.

I feel like this is a mass problem that everyone should be reporting and trying to get resolved, but if people opt to not care about it, that's their call. Do I feel it hinders trying to make a point to HT, sure, but I don't think they should be faulted for not sharing our perspective on it being a serious problem.

finally ready to get one to either go with, or replace my Takara. so they're re-releasing this one and i should wait to get that (hopefully non-leaking) version? what retailers have this newest version for sale?

oh and is this TDK slimmer than the 1st release (non DX) Bats? the one w/ the Bale sculpt. thanks

The DX is quite slimmer compared to the first TDK figure, pretty much better in every way to it.

As for a release of this figure without the oil issue, there's no certainty that any shipment will be oil free.

ah thanks Maul. i didn't so much mean a re-release without oil, as a re-release period. i thought i read that HT was re-releasing this like next month. i just wanna snag one at retail rather than ebay prices. so is it coming out again?
just looked around at the usual 1/6 stores and i guess it is coming around May. here's hoping for no oil!

They're not re-releasing it. HT and DC Direct made a deal in 2008 to make DCD the official American distributor for HT TDK products, the DX figures coming out in May are DCD finally getting their shipments, for some reason, DCD has gotten their figures quite some time after the HK release in most cases.

Try BBTS (Big Bad Toy Store) for the DC Direct release of this figure. They sre located in Minessota, so you would get it fast!

I love my Takara and wouldn't want to replace it.

That way when I get he DX02 I will have a nice Begins Batman and the best Dark Knight Batman.

Especially since my thread seems to have been deleted.. Just trying to warn folk not to send their DXs to the address that HT have supplied.
And before anyone says "oh we merged the threads they were duplicate" they were not. It was about HT CS and their behavior with this issue.
Maybe too much of a hot potato?

I would go to whoever you used to ship it and explain the situation to them and ask them what you can do about the matter.

Unfortunately I know what the response will be. I used a trackable service. The other half had a similar situation with an eBay item. The postage service here will only tell u if it has been delivered or not. I think it is difficult to trace packages once they enter the Chinese postage system. Or so I have been told.

The more this unveils itself the more it's proving Hot Toys are complete and utter arses. Regarding the shipping part. Ducking and diving.

I know with USPS, there's an option with internationals that you can have it sent back to you if undeliverable, so either it should get forwarded to Hot Toys or sent back to you.

Indeed, that's why I avoid selling to overseas with eBay and things, once it leaves this country it can be a pain to keep track of and I don't want to deal with it.

Looks like excess paint or rubber.

Yes, this is HT's "fix" for the oil problem, a thin plastic sheath between the shirt and pants.
