Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

comparing hot toys vs enterbay, pretty dam close comparison, and considering hot toys is 1/6 vs 1/4, im very impressed. It seems like a lot of people will find one bad pic and say oh this thing is TERRIBLE HAHA, and completely disregard a pile of really good looking ones. This hobby is very strange, and I can only speak for the people who comment on these boards and on facebook, and that is obviously the minority of the people who actually buy the product, but of those people, it seems that most are happy when something looks bad. It's very strange. Seems like most threads and most facebook comments all read the same..'bad' 'epic fail' 'wow not as good as the old sculpt' 'who is this supposed to be? mel gibson?' 'wow what a pile of ****'...It's like one out of every 15 comments is a positive one. Very strange indeed. Just looking at it from the outside it would appear that every single figure is horrible and everyone hates it. Every head sculpt of a real person gets ripped apart. you would think going to a hot toys facebook page or a hot toys forum would have a lot of positivity about the products, when instead it seems like your on anti hot toys pages...very strange indeed

The sculpt looks okay. It's certainly an improvement over the MMS, but unsurprisingly the PERS eyes hurts it to some extent.

Not sure that I like the tailoring on the jacket, though. Do the lapels look off to anyone else? Waiting for a straight-on shot of the figure, but I think they took two steps forward, one step back when it comes to the outfit.

My early impression is actually one of pleasant surprise, in that the sunglass pics look pretty good, which I wasn't totally expecting. Sans sunglasses the face is off, but I expected that. Possibly an improvement over the prototype, but not sure I like it better than old Frog Face MMS T-800.

My foot looks more like Schwarzenegger, than this happy horse****.

Zoolander Terminator.

there is always a likeness to Arnie IMO.
Arnie Hammer, maybe.

Looks less like Michael Rooker now.

Is it me, or do the eyes look like they need to be adjusted just a bit in that shot...Looks like they're angled up just a hair...(or down, I cant tell)...Im on the fence about this one right now, but may end up being a parts buy until more pics are seen...

Both miss the mark. I think I do prefer the MMS version, though. The Haley Joe Osmont-ness of this new one's eyes is kind of creeping me out. Otherwise, I think think the new sculpt is better. PERS strikes again.

He looks 15 years old.... but from afar it probably looks better because the jaw is more accurate.

in fairness, that's not a very flattering shot of the original T-800...Compared to how great it looks in hand...
