Are you kidding? The MMS looks like an arnold caricature in comparison.

Seriously guys... Reposting this a page later... how can you think the MMS is better?!

T-800 DX vs T-800

I like how the headsculpt of the DX version turned out.
It's funny though how the DX photo on the left looks as if the face was photoshopped on the head.
Like it moved down a few inches

Looks more up to date :lol

In fairness the shot of the MMS one is lit in a way that makes it look older than it does in person. However, the MMS is definitely a bit too old looking, but honestly for the price I paid for him at retail I do prefer him to this new, $100 more DX.

people can prefer whichever figure they want, but as far as which one looks more like arnold, the new sculpt looks more like arnold than the mms117

Need to get a better pic of the MMS. That ones blurry and from a raised angle. In hand the MMS looks like Arnie with the shades on.

With the shades off it's not great but I still think it's more life like than the DX. It has better paint and firmer lines.

The eyes look closer together on DX10. Which could mean they've lengthened the face. Possibly.

Michael Rooker! I never thought of that but yeah I can actually see that particularly with its more aged look.

They're both crap, let's be honest here.

The closest 1/6 Schwarzenegger Terminator is the T1 version, IMO.

It's the only Hot Toys Terminator figure I've kept, after getting the Enterbay T2 figure.

I think it's actually a really good likeness...the MMS I mean...And I agree the paint and facial lines give it alot of character...With the DX, I dunno, the eyes are still weird to me...It's one of those things where if you cover up that comparison photo of the DX with your hand, the lower part of the face is almost perfect Arnold...But if you cover the lower part up and just look at the eyes, Im not seeing him yet...Maybe it's what everyone has been saying, and I need to see OMG's pics to truly appreciate the DX...I hope anyway, because I love the T-800 as much as I love all of my Iron Man figures, so I REALLY want to like this figure...

Jeez you're harder on them than I am. Since you mention the T1 - it has exactly the same vertical dimensions as the MMS117 sculpt and is thus, I'll say IMO, squashed. Its great and all but I don't see why people elevate it over the T2 sculpt to the extent that they do.

Best one of the bunch, I think. It's too bad, the eyes kinda hurt the shots with the cyberdyne get-up.

I liked the unboxing photos. Not too keen on all the seams on the hair sculpt for PERS but overall I am sold on it. Way better than the prototype.

It's a good likeness. As far as Terminator figures go, I only want one. I think the sensible thing here would be to buy the DX if you have no Terminators or keep your MMS117.

There's no way this DX is worth a buy if you have MMS117 and already probably have the bag, gun and belt (even then if you don't , I don't think its worth a switch). It offers zero over the old one other than PERS which is quite clearly bollocks (on this piece).

Waste of a DX spot really. But it is a business and these guys are popular with fans. Good piece if you missed out I guess. Most people will display him with the shades on anyway.
