i actually prefer the old sculpt....

the only thing that I am excited about is that now I dont have to buy the blade gloved hands for 40 bucks...I can wait for these!

I missed the first one so I'm stoked to have the opportunity to pick the DX up.

But, I definitely believe he should have come with a battle damaged portrait...

Too me Galleria was the most "iconic" look for the T2 T-800.

The first one has the black shirt and the rose box.

I had the opportunity to buy all the coo model weapons when they were reasonable and passed because I liked the Galleria look the best so I will pass on even buying the weapons separate.

I need a early steel mill level of BD or no sale

Well, still is better new figure with same design than reissue old one! (which will lower value of old release)

Hot Toys business model and strategy is a complete joke right now. Basically it's like they are just doing everything they can to copy Enterbay like a little child does when he's envious or mad.

I kind of agree, there's a strange battle going on between those two and instead of HT drowning EB its more like EB is slowly disrupting everything great that HT once had going. The whole "chalice" thing with Jack Sparrow was really absurd.

This DX10 really feels like an inbetween piece -- the 'clean' version of the yet-to-be-revealed wholy battle-damaged T-800 at the end of the film.

I would have greatly preferred a semi-battle damaged version in this gear and be done with it. Everyone's favorite is this version but WITH the BD.

Obviously, there will be a lot of cusomizing going on with this version.

Precisely. The galleria look IS T2 T800.

This would only warrant a purchase to me if it was a full BD ver. Which it should be.

Thank you. I think the first one has the better scuplt but the second one has better accessories and stand. There's no way I'll buy the whole figure for them though.

I'm just happy that this license isn't dead yet. Terminator 2 is my favorite movie of all time and I will buy every iteration of every character from this franchise. The first figure got me into 1/6th scale collecting when it was first announced. And to me no other license means as much as this one. PO'd without hesitation.

EDIT: Now bring on that damn Battle Damaged T2 T800!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first one has a better portrait but it looks to exaggerated; caracature.

I think the second one is too soft but getting closer to the actual person.

Okay, I've been looking at the figure objectively, just the figure, no past releases milking, competition with ENTERBAY, rehashing etc ...

My thoughts are that it does look pretty damn good, the face is good although in my opinion looks to be sagging like he's having a stroke around the mouth, cheeks and jaw.

The accessories and outfit all look great except for the rubber bandolier, which should be fabric and the grenades need to be bigger.

The base is pitiful and the PERS is okay.

In summary:

If i didn't have the original i would likely get this but it needs work and more to it to make it worthy of the name DX and the price

He speaks the truth. I think its a great little feature, its certainly one thing I applaud HT on. Of course if I only had one or 2 T-800s I wouldn't use it but well...I have many, I'm OCD about my Terminator collection, so I will.

They never tweaked Indy despite relentless complaints so I wouldn't get my hopes up on that necessarily.
