Okay, I've been looking at the figure objectively, just the figure, no past releases milking, competition with ENTERBAY, rehashing etc ...

My thoughts are that it does look pretty damn good, the face is good although in my opinion looks to be sagging like he's having a stroke around the mouth, cheeks and jaw.

The accessories and outfit all look great except for the rubber bandolier, which should be fabric and the grenades need to be bigger.

The base is pitiful and the PERS is okay.

In summary:

If i didn't have the original i would likely get this but it needs work and more to it to make it worthy of the name DX and the price

totally agree Nova. I no longer have my original HT T-800 (hoped to get the EB one but then hit a huge financial snag) so I'm T-800less right now which is the only reason this looks somewhat appealing. BUT having had the original, seeing this makes me miss the original b/c to me, it was superior to this one. Still though, it's a great looking figure for those that don't have a 1/6 t-800, when looking at this objectively. I just can't see myself buying this knowing that there's 2 EB versions of this that look much better IMO. If I get it, it will only be if I can't afford the EB one again and b/c I need some sort of T2 T-800 in my collection

He speaks the truth. I think its a great little feature, its certainly one thing I applaud HT on. Of course if I only had one or 2 T-800s I wouldn't use it but well...I have many, I'm OCD about my Terminator collection, so I will.

Are you planning on putting him at the table you already have or are you thinking of a new dio display??

They never tweaked Indy despite relentless complaints so I wouldn't get my hopes up on that necessarily.

totally agree Nova. I'm just happy that this license isn't dead yet. Terminator 2 is my favorite movie of all time and I will buy every iteration of every character from this franchise. The first figure got me into 1/6th scale collecting when it was first announced. And to me no other license means as much as this one. PO'd without hesitation.

EDIT: Now bring on that damn Battle Damaged T2 T800!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They never tweaked Indy despite relentless complaints so I wouldn't get my hopes up on that necessarily.

Don't have high hopes but HT does have a tendency to tweak several sculpts when they get released. Tobey sculpt recently looks slightly changed. Indy was a disaster from start to finish - and what we ended up with was probably what was approved by the actor himself and perhaps HT had no power to change/modify it anymore?

Regardless - I will be purchasing this. Like i said - T2 is my favorite movie and pretty much the reason why I started collecting. Still waiting on that BD T2 T800...really hope HT doesn't make us wait another two years for it...

Head sculpt looks better, but still a bit strange. I'll stick with the enterbay terminator. And i'll decide which one i prefer when the inevitable battle damaged version is released from both companies

It's hard to tell, because they DID tweak Superman though.

But I think since this looks pretty much like a flat out cash grab, chances of tweaks to this are slim.

I like it. The minigun and M79 should have come with the first figure, but I it.

Yes I'm getting this. I have the original MMS release but probably gonna switch that to the endo-arm pose

Since HT aren't putting out any of the figures i'd planned on buying this year, i'm in a good place to get the EB BD T800

Whether HT or EB releases a BD T1/T2/both T800 is getting my money. Not satisfied with Neca...It is my MOST wanted figure!

So I'm going to sell my t2 Arnie to trade up for adjustable eyes and a chip in the head ? I think Hot Toys need their heads looking at for this one lol
On a brighter note I still need another t2 Arnie for my Harley and this release will bring the price down for the old Arnie so thanks HT...I guess

I know this wasn't directed at me, but I'd like to answer:

I do believe Terminator is still seen as a cash-cow for HT. I still believe they will milk the two Cameron films where they can. I believe they are so backlogged with promised pieces that this rush job is in fact a cash-grab. But I believe milking anything is a bit of a cash-grab, so they've done the same with IronMan, Predator and, of course, Batman. I'm sure we'll see more versions.

they will, they always do, and it will look great, wait and see, i had 2 of the first t2's, but sold them, i like this one better, can't wait to have it, unless it hits the $300 mark because of the real leather clothes,then i mite have to pass, maybe it will be around $235- $250 at most i pray.
