Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics
Thanks guys.
Yeah, it's not even really about the eyes themselves, just those damn eye lids like a-dev mentioned. It just looks so unnatural. Regular, painted eyes are the way to go.
But that's not my biggest gripe about PERS. I just hate how hollow the heads are now, especially when they don't have a sculpted neck. I mean, think about it, grip the sculpt too hard and it could easily crack inside couldn't it? It's not solid at all. You got a small ball joint on the bottom, right next to the system itself, a removable hair plate, a long lever that takes up half the head, a magnet to hold the said plate, the PERS itself and then a decent sized opening at the top of the head. There's just alot of things that could go wrong with the head alone.
Way too gimmicky for such a small scale. I don't know how you guys approached the headsculpt when you popped it off of the bandolier but I held on by the figure's temple sides when I took it off. I'm always afraid the hair/head plate is going to smash up against the lever and break the **** out of it.
Oh and that piece of foam under the chin is a nice touch so it doesn't rub the finish off the neck. I hadn't noticed that that was there.
Thanks guys.
