Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

I still think this figure is a giant dorky looking turd compared to the MMS and yes I examined it in person and I really think that it actually looks worse in person, and anyway I didn't come here to ***** and moan about it I just came here to encourage other mms lovers like myself to pick up a spare set of the shades on eBay from dx10, they make the figure look a hundred times better. At least the dx10 is good for something!!

it looks... let me check... approximately 1 000 times better than MMS.
cut your eyes out!!!

I personally don't understand preferancing a sculpt whose face is the wrong shape, eyes are too far apart and has cheekbones that look like they could cut your finger open but to each their own :nana:

But yeah I do recommend the DX10 sunglasses to use on that sculpt...if you must :D

Glad to hear you're happy with your MMS.

Me, I'm glad to have DX 10 as my first Terminator figure. If I had the MMS I would've cried and cursed HT instead of making myself feel good by lying that "I think MMS is better. I think Willem Dafoe would have made a better T800 if only he worked out in the 80's anyway". I just can't make a fool of myself that way.

But yeah, it's you. I'm glad you're happy.

People have compared the MMS to Michael Rooker aswell and I actually see something in that.

Y'know I'm not saingy the DX10 sculpt is perfect, it isn't. It copied the Enterbay hair which was a bad move and the PERS does introduce an issue that wasn't there on the MMS but for the stuff it fixes I give it the win.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Yeah both are really good figures really, I would not want to part with ether. The dx10 has a more acturate face and body, but the mms has a more battle hardened tougher look with a more detailed sculpt, not a perfect likeness on the mms but you know who he is. Both are imo totally bad@$$ figures and they look great on display. Both have plus's and minus's so liking ether is up personnal preferance. At the end of the day I prefer the dx10 but still have love for the mms117.

I can't say I've gotten my ideal 1:6 clean Arnie T2 sculpt. All the perfect elements are out there but unfortunately they're divided between 4 sculpts in different scales!

Ah, the MMS 117 vs DX 10 debate rages on.

I got em both (and the Enterbay bic boi). They both have their positives and negatives and are both distinct in my collection.

Nothings perfect, I'm happy with the dx10, although I was happy with my mms117 for a long time to:panic: I agree theres a better version to come at some point, but for the clean look it may be a long time coming. I can see the perfect version in my minds eye, the dx10 face shape, the dx13s eyes, the detail of mms117 and the hair line too.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Oh and before I forget. I took the leather jacket off to futz it a bit and put a paper clip around the collar like I've done with the MMS 117.

On the figure's left forearm, I noticed these black, stain marks. I assume they're rubs from the leather jacket. Anyone know of a good fix?

no no no no no, thats my most hated pet peeve:mad: Please don't tell me the leather stains:gah: I hate that $h!t soo much:monkey4

Well the marks ain't pink. :lol

I looked it up and I guess leather can mark things up. Not sure if I should try to clean or rub it off or just leave it alone (not going to leave the jacket off on display).

I guess it's inevitable. But it sucks if you only have one figure and you want to switch to jacket-less look every now and then.

I used to hate leather shoes staining my white socks back in grade school.

For anyone who is still on the fence about this figure, GoHastings has it in stock and with the promotional code "POSABLE" (and I don't know if that is the same for everyone) you get a 25% discount on the figure. It comes to only $180.89 after the discount and shipping.

I would suggest anyone that has been holding out to get it now while it still in stock.

Got my DX10 T2 T-800 in the mail from Gohasting this morning, and when I open the package the figure's box is tore all to hell. I ask about an exchange and they tell me they have none left. I told the women I specifically called after placing the order and explained that I wanted an undamaged, never opened, in Brown mailer figure, and I was told by the woman all their items were brand new. I guess all that fell on deaf ears though or they really just didn't give a dam. When I ask for an exchange, they said they're all out and she offered me a full refund, I told her the figure was OK, I just didn't like the idea my comment on the day I purchased it were ignored and I wanted to keep it; and all she could do is credit the shipping cost back to me, around $8.

This makes the second time I've bought a figure from them with the box messed up, just proves to me you buy from Gohastings at your own risk.

I only ordered from them once, I ordered the hot toys lost predator for a great price a few years ago, I was lucky as I received a brand new one but I heard about all the horror storys of people getting figures that were opened, broken, missing parts and whatever so I stopped ordering from them. I'm a mib and mint out of box collector so I would not be happy getting my collectibles all F'd up for a 20 dollar savings, it just not worth it.

I picked this guy up today and I think he is awesome. Likeness is better in person. Clothes are great.
