Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

It fits great Hydeous... Ahhhhnuld is so big it just molds to his body...

The only diff I see is that collar... see how it's oh... little bit fruit of the loom like? yeah... I really like it personally and I'm a F'n detail freak incase you didn't notice...

use that 20$ savings and buy some hands or a gun too... if you've read the thread at all today... you'll be cutting the sleeves off anyway

Thing is, I don't really like everything to stay screen accurate as possible. Knowing the sleeves aren't there will just kill it for me:panic: are the sleeves really that annoying? If so, then I need to get the HT one. :gah:

The hand gun is included on the dx10 set right? I just need the shot gun holding hand and a relaxed hand, just like what you have actually.

Oh I think you misunderstood... no matter what kind of shirt you buy, the sleeves bunch up at the bicep in the jacket... you can see that in the side shot of mine a page back...

So if you want to pose without the jacket, then yes~ get the official one, but if you plan to use the jacket, then buy the cheap shirt... cut the sleeves and your jacket will look stellar... and you won't waste munny...

or forget my opinion, grab the official version

were there sleeves in the movie in the first place?
i don't remember if it was seen when biker took the jacket off.

Just for fun I decided to set up my BBI Arnie in an arrival scene. This use to be one of my favorite figures 10 yrs ago. :lol

:lol i think I would most likely get the official one, if I'm gonna get the DX10. But thanks for the info :duff

Yup. A good excuse to watch it again :wink1:

just checked.
a) the sleeves zone is never seen in the saloon.
b) there are no sleeveless shirts there. other punks&bikers either wear a vest only or have black shirts with sleeves.
so it should be a standart t-shirt.

...
c) witnessed again how nicely weathered is the biker's leather outfit in the movie. it has all colors from grey to brown, just no black.

You could pick up the HT Barney Ross Black T for about $25 too. It's the same shirt & size as the DX's grey T, so it's a perfect fit on the new Arnie body. :)

Its funny how hot toys went backwards on things when trying to copy enterbay. They copy enterbay with real leather and it makes it less acturate, then they copy enterbays head sculpt and makes the hair puffy in the back:slap

Message to hot toys: don't copy other toy companys when your already top dog, copy movie props only please:wink1:

Of all the things to copy. The Enterbay hair, probably the most criticised aspect of that figure :gah:

We don't know for a fact that they did of course but the similarities are striking.

Its a pity they didn't have the EB Battle Damage figure's hair to copy as EB nailed it on that one, thank ***k.

:exactly: The puffy hair thing has got to go for the next round of Arnie sculpts. I hope they address the hair on the DX13, along with the bd, but it will probably be the same & unchanged.

i'm waiting for that thing to arrive and could photo & comment how it fits.

Funny thing is the hair on the mms117 is nearly perfect all around, I really still like my mms t-800, if the face was a little more acturate and had the dx body it would be just about perfection.

I have a Ross Black T on my Harley DX and it's perfect.

Love the MMS Arnie and his great hair. :hi5:

I've never really been mad on the front view of the hair on 117. Too tight on the sides for my taste. But it does give the correct general shape to Arnie's cranium, nothing puffs out in any stupid looking way.

What's been interesting for me to watch as a collector, is the growth and development of EB. At first they were the retarded cousin of Hot toys... QC and preorder issues almost killed them... but that darn exclusive Licence to all the Bruce movies kept them alive... then something happened...

Now EB officially has better paint, is here to stay as a contender~ offering us collectors better products.

If EB were to release a 1/6 T2 fig, we would be able to kit bash the sickest T2 to all our preferences... not that we can't already

Yeah enterbay is a good company but not my favorate, they used to have some of the lamest licences like dragonball, and weird asian movies like storm riders. Only when they got the t2 licence did they put something out that got peoples attention, then rambo and batman put them on the map. The only issue is there 1:6 line up kinda sucks, mib, django, and nba stuff just don't do it for me.

There 1/4 scale stuff is nice and is where they excell, but I'm a 1:6 collector and not looking to have a large collection of big @$$ action figures all over my house:pfft: I got the clean t-800 from them and I'm happy with it as a centerpiece to my collection but thats it. I will get the endo from hot toys and likely call it at that for 1/4 stuff.

If they start making 1:6 figures that hav'nt been made I would be into that, Make t2 t800 endo before hot toys puts it out, or stop competing with them and make something new like storm toys t3 t1, or a chuck norris from any movie that was cool, heck make a chuck norris from the movie he fought bruce lee in if your in love with bruce so much:lol

It just starting to get old with umteen t-800 variants being put out between hot toys and enterbay. I love terminator stuff but we need some fresh new figures like kyle reese or a good tx or t850 already:impatient:

:lecture The one thing holding EB back is the crap bodies. HT are superior in that category. All of my EB bodies come right out of the box with loose joint issues and it's annoying. Not saying HT ones are perfect everytime, but they definitely beat EB hands down. In the last year the EB head sculpts & paint apps have been some of the best.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

EB needs to fine tune their bodies but they are good- it's the QC issue that causes problems with them..outside contractor??
EB produces remarkable stuff- they are truly worrying HT and you can see that in the 1/4 announcements and T2 lines...

I am quite shocked with DJango licence! :horror when they announced it... but they are pure star power whores...

As for Chuck, you are right. I have actually contacted Arnie kim and told him "what the hell is up with no Chuck? no back alley gang?"

He told me Chuck is a religious loser who will not agree to a figure being made in his likeness!

Agreed on Variety man... in this world, we need a new Sarah Connor, Little John, Miles & a new insane t-1000 with triple the accessories. :hi5:

I'm surprized Deathasylum, my only experience recently is with Scarface and CHE, both had RM-5 bodies and they were outstanding! I only say that with such glee because Tony Montana's neck had little hairs painted on it, and when he turned his head, the soft rubber on the neck would move like skin... I was seriously blown away...

But I'm almost certain you have more experience in this matter, as you have more Enterbay stuff and 1/4 at that... I can't speak on those..

Hope nobody is mad at this subject matter being :offtopic:
