Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

The glasses and the shot gun were included to replicate the look from T2:3D Battle Across Time. They didnt have to include the endoskull bit in his head from the deleted scene, but to me, it makes perfect sense as to why Hot Toys included these items with this figure

Oh yeah, that could be true.

Anyway, sleep.

Everyone ripped off NECA. NECA did all this ____ first.

I'm serious.

They're going to give us the first Kyle Reese too.

With all the flak HT is receiving on the lack of battle damage, I wouldn't be surprised they throw in a battle damaged head at the last minute. We can dream right. :lol

HT always did that, but unpredictable in ths time

Neca test the water with their inferior products, If the popularity is there, in comes HT to take over

wow, you know alot of people talk a crap load of ____ about hot toys all the time, but true be told they are the best there is at what they do, they make some of the coolest things I've ever owned and they improve on things on every release. they even update head sculpts from proto pic the release of the figure(78 superman) this will be no differant i'm sure. It may not be perfect but by the time we get it in hand it will likey be very close to it. Even if they don't change a thing this is still a very cool figure.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

^Their too boring for my liking. Sure the end product is nice (most of the time) But their are other companies who pick more exciting licenses and don't milk them till their dry.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

They gave you the 'chip' in this one like they gave you the 'endo arm' in the other, so if you have both you can be like Miles Dyson.

I don't want to be like Miles Dyson. He was shot and then blew up.

I would rather the DX10 BE Miles Dyson...

Yes, I agree, HT do make some of the coolest things I've ever owned. My gripe is that HT think these things are so cool that they need to make them twice :wink1:

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Honestly, this figure has started to grow on me quite a bit. I never had a 1-800 so this is my best bet.

The only real reason to have a issue with this release is if you are trying to sell the first version, than yes this would suck right now, but other than that if you missed out on the first this is great, I have the first and will still buy this one to. This looks to be the spark to finish the line, and they teased the new 1:6 endo next to the 1:4 one today too:yess: more to come, looks like we will finally get a chance to complete this awesome line:)

The issue is not just one of being a re-release/variant, but what this does to the HT production timeline/calendar. Folks reasonably anticipating a BD T2 are likely antsy that they'll now have to wait an age before they see it. Me, I'm not fussed, but I do understand why quite a few people are ticked off.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

I want a BD version aswell, but this aleast shows the line is not dead as its been about two years since there last terminator release. I am taken back by there choice too, as I was not expecting the cyberdine shootout version myself, But not upset with this at all cause I never bashed this version myself.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

I guess HT is just trying to level the playing field with all these 2.0 's coming out. If that's the case just re-release the original and give us something NEW! Not the same old, same old but with a $60 mark up?! It's become very obvious that these figures are WAY over priced no matter how good of a face sculpt. Add to that the fact that they make so many they dont even sell out. Superman being the prime example.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

I was merely expecting something exciting too look at. I mean, we've already seen the T-800, this really is hardly any different. It's great for those who love Terminator and missed the first release but it leaves the rest of us hanging.......
