T1 bust is courtesy of alaneye!!! Top marks and high praise for that man!!

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

that thing must be very beautiful in hand. despite the skin quality, it has almost perfect movie detalisation, including the face expression and T1s awful ignoring of clothes accuracy. like it's an time-weathered doll from movie stage.
if HT took that head for reference for T1 truck hit figure and only fixed the skin texture, that would be so excellent.

Nope. The film should be the only referance used. This is exactly the thing we've been complaining about HT doing - using other toys/models/busts etc as referance, copying their mistakes, instead of using easily accessible movie referance.

I personally wouldn't consider that bust an ideal. The hairline looks too receded for one.

:goodpost: I completely agree with this, while the bust is nice the movie should be the main referance used.

you and all others know that they never do that. that they will take somebody's figure again.
so (above).

True. But even so I wouldn't want them to copy the receded hairline or the kinda squashed face thing. They've done the latter enough already!

I know that the inspiration for the bust was the actual puppet that was created by stan winston, and if ya check a couple of referance pictures below i think its pretty bang on - a Battle Damaged T1 was always more of a zombiefied look compared to that of T2

and for a guy who created this is his spare time on his dining room table, i take great pride in displaying it!

I do get the sense that it was based on the puppet moreso than Arnie in the prosthetics, so its pretty good for that, I agree.

Guys, I have a problem.
Today I finally got him and I was initially so happy but the pegs have a WAY to tight fit and one is completely busted.
At first the peg broke in the hand and when I tried to get the bigger part out of the arm it broke there to.
How am I supposed to get the part out of the arm?!

Good thing I only need the gripping hand for the bag and the other one for the guns...

Any help?!
I don't have the slightest idea on how to get it out...

:(

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

You might have to drill it out. Thats the only way I've ever been able to address this.

Sorry to hear about this, Do you have a dremel? if so just use that to drillout the broken piece, just be careful not to damage the wrist itself.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Another idea is to use a very small screw and put in into the broken peg by just screwing it into it, then get a pair of pliers to pull it out by the screw. I did this sucessfully with a ultimate soldier figure many years ago with the same issue.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

I took the smallest screw I had, but the plastic is to hard to get it in.
I'm really desperate here.
Heard that several guys had the problem, but hoped that I wouldn't.
Jacket looks great, everything else is ok, but now this.
Don't know how to get it out and get him set up again... :(

The screw should have a sharp tip and you could heat up the plastic abit to soften it up to get the screw started.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

You should definitely heat up the plastic first. I had the same problem, but once I heated up the plastic the pegs came out with relative ease

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Man, I´m so pissed right now.
I heated it up AND the screw and drilled a part in, then it clicked.
I kept turning and it clicked one more time...and kinda disappeared inside the arm.
"Alright", I thought..."maybe it´s deep enough for the hand."
Tried it, wouldn´t get it enough, tried to get it out...ANOTHER PEG BROKE!!!!!!!!
I am SO angry, I almost threw the ****in´figure.
Over 200 bucks for something like this.

The best part.
When I tried to get a hold for the screw, my knife hinged back in position, with my thumb being between it.
Hospital, bit cut, big bandage.

Weekend starts, NOTHING positiv out of this figure so far...
