Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Gees man, I hate to play devils advocate here but what are we looking at here a bad box? What's wrong with the head? can't you push it down in place?

The mini-gun is more than shocking~ evidence of a shaky return perhaps but THIS late in the game all that is in stock are returns...

Jodie is a cool cat from Sideshow~ if they offer you $25 tell her the mini-gun is worth $75 - get a free TTM22 body

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

But end the end of the day, you want what you pay for. A lot of people, me included, appreciate a mint box. (No sexual pun intended!)
Plus the head doesn't look to fit right, and if it was advertised as either brand new or mint in box, that's what you expect to get, let alone missing parts, and bloody big ones too!

I bought a 2nd hand mms136 T1 Terminator from Monkeybat on here, without the mailer box, and there's not a mark on the product box at all.

If your buying the thing knowing the issues at a discount, then that is one thing, but to get an item in that shape at full price is a kick in the nuts. Return ASAP and buy from BBTS for less. :D

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

The box is part of what you pay for. The figure and the box is the complete package. If the box is shabby then the overall figure has lost some of its value straight away!

And rickrooster im the same as you when it comes to packaging. For this kinda money I expect it to all be in pristine condition!

And do you not think that I haven't tried pushing the head on further!? That's as far as it goes. Its either the head that's knackard or the socket in the neck.

At the end of the day I've received an item in a damaged box with missing parts and the figure itself is faulty. If your unlucky you usually get one out of them 3 problems but I got the full works and I aint happy!

I'd be effing fuming!

And as for the returned items thingy..

No excuse sending out returned items... They've been returned for a reason people.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Bought another DX10 direct from Sideshow and this is what I received. I'm absolutely appalled with every aspect of it. Everything that can go wrong with a figure was all rolled into one with this package. They even missed putting the mini gun in!

Friend, what you have gotten is not only a returned figure, but a figure made up of several returned figures thrown together (by someone trying to pick the best of the worse)and put together without any care to make sure everything was even there(missing mini gun, hair plug looks missing too). Sideshow claims to return this stuff to Hot Toys, but I believe the truth is they don’t make good money on returned product so if they can manage to get enough pieces together to make a complete figure “AGAIN”, they’re going to try and sell that figure. And, unfortunately for you, this looks like what has happened.

My first figure from Sideshow, the PERS were messed up, the figure’s eyes would not move up, I complained for weeks and finally got a replacement (which I am thankful for), but I had actually given up hope before it came and had bought another head on my own. I bought a second T2 DX10 off Amazon, and although everything in the box was OK, the box was in such poor shape I was going to send it back, but they had sold out by then. I used some Elmer’s glue and some clear tape and patched it up as best I could.

My advice for you in the future is if you want a figure either order early to get the first and probably the best of what comes in, or if getting from the secondary market, look at all the pictures, ask plenty of questions, and always be sure you have buyer protection.

I hate to break it to you but the box thing is really not a big deal... if you collect boxes you can get a mint one. I know it shouldn't come damaged but unless you get a "pack out", expect damage.

The head doesn't meet the neck all that great on this figure... I can contort arnie's head forward and send you matching shots for both my dx's.

I have experienced the exact same unhappiness on delivery day... but I think your box which you took 4 or 5 pictures of, seems to be the trigger for your tantrum and you want support... the positive thing is

you have a F'N awesome figure... not complaining about the leather, head sculpt, accessories... Plus sideshow will take the whole thing back for a full refund and you know it.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

You paid for about item from hot toys to arrive as though you collected it yourself and that means in one piece. Sellers can get some sort of refund for you.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

six sith - im sorry to break it to you also, but your talking rubbish. how can a knackard box be acceptable? the damage that this box has sustained isn't through been bumped around in the post as the brown shipper box is actually in good nick. someone else has had this figure previous to me and I've been sold a second hand figure, as new for full price!

This is the second one I've had from sideshow and the first one was mint, in every aspect, no dodgy head connection, no missing parts nor a damaged box.

all I can say is thank god you don't work for sideshow and deal with there returns as I would get nowhere with you!!

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

I see your POV in this situation Sixth Sith, but I have to agree with the majority in this matter. Not trying to say your opinion is wrong, but it has nothing to do with how great the figure is, regardless of condition. Yeah, it is very unlikely to get a completely mint box through shipping, but it's another thing when it arrives as though BigFoot used it as a trampoline. I think it's okay for this type of situation to be brought to our attention as well, even though it can be returned for a full refund. It just gives collectors a heads up on what can happen purchasing items from SS and allows you to "Let off some steam" in the forums at the same time. The missing parts along with the damaged box is enough to be po'd about my good man. If it was just the box and the figure was in mint condition, then your argument would hold up a lot better. We both don't really know why the HS isn't sitting lower on the body, so that could be corrected with some futzing. It just might need to be completely removed, along with the neck adapter inside the neck to find out the problem. No offense buddy, but that is just my opinion. :wink1:

Some Terminators just hanging in the corner of my room. :)

I've messed about with the head, and messed about some more and that gap doesn't get any smaller on either side. I'm still waiting for sideshow to get back to me and as soon as they do it will be swiftly returned.

One thing i'm not going to start doing tho is start taking it to bits. I expect SS to tell me to return it. So last thing I want to do is start messing with it. I'll get my money back and buy elsewhere I think.

I may even consider a pre owned one so I know its condition rather than take the gamble with another potential failure!!

:exactly: That really is the best option and good luck finding a replacement. The one they sent you is a mess. :slap

I recommend bbts, they got desent prices and always pack the figures like a pro, bubble wrap inside another box and they still got over 90 instock. They are about the best and most professional dealer out there and you can buy with confidents. If you have an issue they will replace no problem:wink1:

I got my first dx10 from sideshow with no issues luckly, I got from them cause they got it first and I wanted to get my hands on this asap. After that though my other two came from bbts, boxes came in excellant condition.

If you go though sideshow again I recommend getting a packout, thats what I did with the ex joker 2.0 with great results, its well worth the ten bucks to get your stuff mint, its just a shame they don't do that by default:slap

My 'Man or Machine' T-800. Can never settle on a name for this one, I variously call it 'Dyson's house' or 'endo-arm reveal' but the NECA name probably sounds the best.

This is obviously a DX10 head and its on a DX10 body with the arms of an MMS117. The endo-arm is the same shortened one I've used for a long time.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

that bloody veins & flesh pieces you added are really cool. i've seen them once on V-Raptor figure, now i see it for the second time only since the MMS117 was made.

proportions of the shortened arm are very natural now. and hiding fingers into a fist was useful to hide the HT strange idea of human palm skeleton (which fail they succesfully transferred to the "New Old Endoskeleton).

all in all it looks so close to movie shot now!

but i still was the first to swap hands & bodies for that purpose, still was the first to swap hands & bodies :nana:
