Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

PO ..missed the first version t2 . this is a bonus. hope they add more contour to head and face.face is too smooth looking.. sculpts is better than 1st T2 though...just hope we get leather boots, not plastic sculpted ones, to go with the leather jacket. ^^

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

People are mainly upset (myself being one of them) that this isn't the long awaited Battle Damaged version. Ive said this before, but I think HT is just picking up where they left off, and it seems that a BD version is going to happen eventually. Im just happy to see that we are getting more Terminator figures. But in no way is this version shy on accessories imo. He has a freakin MINIGUN!!!

I'm sure, if nothing else did it, the uproar this figure seemed to create will persuade HT that yes, the BD version should be their next Terminator priority. I mean come on, even Marcus Wright got a BD headsculpt.

Nah. A two year old child woulda got that hint ages ago.

They have to know, if they're truly fans themselves then they have to know. They're just teasing us (and milking us obviously).

Anyway, Presumably the BD figure will have both heads...though I wonder how they'll get the LED in the full BD head, if we're talking interchangeable headsculpts...y'know hows that gonna work..

The spare (sonar) DX02 Batman sculpt came with a separate LED switch. I never understood the Predator design, having to plug some cord into and around the body. They'll have to do it on a different body though. One without attached neck.

I forgot about the DX02 Batman method. That was a light bulb on top of the neck wasn't it? And it also served as the ball part of the ball/socket joint? (I sold mine and I've already sorta forgotten) Dunno if that would work on the T-800. The only other option is if they go back to the MMS02 way with the head and neck sculpted as one, that way theres room in the neck for batteries and the switch concealed on the back of the neck...Then there'd be no problem switching to the semi-BD head as it would be likewise head and neck sculpted together. I think I'd prefer that actually.

They did something similar with Wesker's glowing eyes. for the Resident Evil line.

That's what I want to see. The collar of the leather jacket would conceal the switch.

We know they won't do that though. They're obsessed with having heads on ball joints now, especially muscle body figures. I really would prefer a T-800 with a sculpted neck for once and I think it would be better for a both battle damaged heads.

I know :gah: It adds nothing IMO, only detracts from the realism. Looks like Enterbay are intent on doing the same if their 1/4 T-800 is anything to go by. Kinda got used to it on HT but in the case of the BD I don't see how they'll manage it unless they sculpt the head and neck together.

Though nothing is certain, I bet this DX 10 T-800 has the magnetic ball jointed head the DX 02 Batman regular PERS head had. Then a future semi-BD (if they even do one, still would have liked a burned off eyebrows look) and Battle damage head will probably function like Batman's sonar head.

Lame if they go that route but it's bound to happen. I bet we see a small, pin-headed, long neck, Battle Damaged Arnold. They should sculpt it though with all those bullet wounds he has in the neck.

Figures with actual sculpted neck posts are getting few and far between. Off the top of my head the only recent figure to sport one is the Jack Nicholson Joker.

I deff like this sculpt over the original.... Lazy not to include the BD head though

Yeah that's what I meant. Built into the sculpt with attached neck like the MMS02. That's the only way.

Thanks for the link Timo. Those pictures are great. The sculpt is definitely an improvement over the old one. I love this figure now, it's really grown on me.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Strangely it didn´t work for me neither.
Just edited my post on the laptop from my dad, although all worked with my Samsung.

Strange...
:slap

Either way...works now...Sculpt is amazing, definite buy for me now!!!!!

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

I'm liking this sculpt better than the original.

So do I. I may keep my original T-800 and buy a sculpt loose and have it on display with the endo arm (man or machine) :yess:

The PERS look great on this to me too, you can hardly notice that it has it imo.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Glad I already POed this :yess:

Thanks for the pics/link guys. Definite improvement over the original sculpt. Now to hunt down a rose box and roses

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

This figure has been a mini rollercoaster. When I first saw it I thought it looked great. Then I came here and saw that 90% hated it!

I started to doubt myself.

Then seeing the old and new side by side I began to realize that the original had a cartoon quality to it.

At first I wasn't getting it because I was all set to focus on terminator pieces at 1:4. But then I realised it's bad ass and I want it :lol Plus it gives me a reason not to sell my HT T-1000. The HT official pictures really don't sell it to me it was more the shots and video from the toy hunters display window.
