To be fair, disappointment can only come from expectation. I wonder if they'll make a ton of sports games this year?

Because it sells to the casual and non-gaming crowd, which is a bigger demographic than core gamers these days.

Not only that but they are trying to keep things interesting and new. I know others are different but having gamed since a youngster I'm getting bored with it. Been gaming since about 1985.

I feel like I have played it all before. So much so that when I boot a game (when I actually have time) I end up turning it off after 5 minutes. :(

BF3 DLC is the only thing that looks good so far from this conference. I don't know whats getting more tiresome, shooters or sport games.

Relating to your post big time. New, interesting IPs are the only things that make me interested, and even then, the final product feels too familiar 90% of the time.

Really? That would be a cool element for Crysis.

The Ubi confrence in 30 minutes. If your watching Spike, you can switch over to G4, they are airing it.

Microsoft Conference was crap although Tomb Raider is shaping up nicely and Resi looked like it could be returning to the horror genre!

Can't believe Black Ops got so much time, I guess this is the future:( After not having any interest in Nintendo, my hope now rests with them, I want to enjoy games again and hopefully the Wii U changes my mind, I am starting to tire of shooting games, is it me or was Splinter Cell just such a disappointment? My mate summed it up perfectly "Ubisoft started out this generation with three good titles, Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon, all with different styles of gameplay and over the years they seem to have all merged into each ohter".
