These features interest me. Community and connection = the future. (yes, that sounds trite, but I like it).

x2. With their marketing, it's all about getting everyone you can. And with these extra features, it may just be enough to grab those people that wewre on the edge.

I know at least 6+ people that bought a 360 for Netflix and the Arcade games alone.

But back on topic: Moar E3 news!!!! I'm stuck at work and things only trickle in of Gizmodo!! MOAR!!!!

There was a HUGE sales boost of Netflix accounts. That was the point.

OK, but where there any huge console sales boost?(I really thought that console sales-wise there wasn't such a boost). What I am trying to say is that in the end what we need is new and immersing games.

On that note I will say that Microsoft's E3 conference lacked ANY new or original titles. They were all sequels or shooters. The only original title there was Alan Wake, and that's been around for the last 4 years. What's even worse is that they had nothing in the way of new announcements for Xbox Live Arcade games (which I love), Epic's new arcade shooter was nice, but there has to be more than that.

It's great that Msoft is catering to both hardcore games and developing new possibilities with casual gamers using NATAL allthewhile expanding community features and functionality with Facebook, Twitter, Live Party, the like, but...

Where are all the new games?

Also MIA: Microsoft's portable gaming system. I was disappointed there wasn't any credence to the rumors.

For me, it's about the games. I can do all of that other stuff on my computer quicker and easier.

Then what you have is a jack of all trades machine. And they're dying to steal some of the growing Wii install base. The thing is, Wii is simple. That's why it does so well. It's targeted at non-gamers first and fore most (the biggest piece of the pie), with the odd hardcore game thrown in to appetite the gamer here and there. It's a simple machine with a simple name. Millions of people bought it for Wii Sports as they watched it being played by Oprah, Ellen, Tyra and late night talk show hosts, and havn't bought a single game yet. The software sales vs install base proves that.

meh.... nothing really amazing announced the natal thing looked cool but another lame gimmick that will be fun for 2 mins max, pretty much like the wii. forza 3 looked damn good though :moon

Yeah, but the possibilities are endless.

Imagine playing Gears of War 3 Multiplayer and being able to wave/signal your teammate without talking. Imagine playing Forza 3 and being able to give the bird to an opponent as you drive by. Imagine being able to dry hump someone on your friends list.

Imagine... :monkey5
