E3 sucked this year, most of what we saw were games we already knew about. Not really many big new reveals (that I care about) this E3.

why?? the PC will still be superior. i see it as the more the merrier...make crysis as mainstream as Gears or call of duty.

I don't know. It just doesn't seem right on consoles. I'm happy for Crytek if they sell more copies with the move to consoles (they deserve it), but it's just another nail in the coffin for pc gaming. The platform is losing its exclusives, and soon there won't be any reason for me to shell out my money for hardware upgrades (which is a hobby for me).

I love how for that ^^^^ty looking Tony Hawk game, they had the board supposedly working, but the camera man keeps accidentally showing a person playing the game with a controller just off to the side.

TH for the FAIL.

Skate 2 is FTW!!!!

I think all of the supposed "real time game play" they showed at that show was in fact not "real time game play". It really looked as though they were just running a prerecorded game demo and then having a guy off to the side act as if he was playing.

That's because a lot of the reveals were either leaked or prematurely exposed by publishers.

I thought this E3 was fantastic, one of the best since the early millenium or late 90's. The big 3 conferences, while varied in overall effectiveness, offered new stuff for every type of gamer and they all avoided "marketing" speeches and pie charts and bar graphs.

It was light on new announcements but was chock full of reveals and first-look gameplay footage for many games.

But different strokes, I guess.

hmm.... i don't think PC gaming will ever die. as long as people can build PCs cheap (last i tried i put together a pretty good rig for gaming at around $1200 with everything) they should be fine. one thing that always kept me hooked with pc games is the community support found for the games. i liked the custom maps, add ons, and mods. the first of the year i'm probably gonna build something nice...but right now i have a new TV on the radar.

Not for another 5 years they're saying.

The PS3 is looking at abother 9 years to add to it's life span.

Lifespans go on, that's not to say a new system won't come out tho. PS2 has been out since 2000, but PS3 was launched in 2006. Generally consoles have a span of about 5 to 6 years until the next one, but the lifespan can out years beyond that...unless of course your microsoft.

Well, I meant that we will not see the next generation until about 5 more years. And Sony has stated that even if there was a launch of "next gen" systems in 5 years by it's competitors, there would only be updates for the
PS3 and no new system.

So what are you guys hoping to see this year?
I liked to see more Natal stuff and PS3 Move games in action
Hopefully some more Gears of War 3 as well

I see that the rumors are that Xbox will show off 3D gaming and rename the Natal.
PS3 might announce PSN+ which will cost around $50 a year

From what I have see in rumours, it looks like Sony is going to come second again this year.
A new PSP
