I just opened mine to check on it's condition. Really nice piece.
Gandalf vs Saruman is still my favorite LOTR dio.

This takes up so much room that I had to pack it back up to be displayed another day.
I hate having no room for stuff.

Look at the bright side...they're not purple! :D

Thank god for that, the Fell Beast on the Dio I have is painted very, very good, I really cant see a flaw, but as have said in the past by others the eagle could have had better varied tones in seeing that this is no eagle but the King of the eagles....And the base is, like I stated is bland and boring

Superb pix, got mine here in Ireland which is unusual as we normally wait a while longer than the rest and its very nice. I admit the paint job could be better on the Eagle but my problem is that the pin hole for the eagle is slightly too big on mine and its turning the Eagle somewhat, its not very noticeable but it is to me and I want it PERFECT!! :lol Its a great dio though and quite a wingspan which you have to be very careful when moving it around and displaying it as the wings stick out quite far and I almost lost one placing against a wall to display!! :horror

I had the exact same thing, Wrath! I had trouble fitting the pin in the hole, and once it went in, I noticed the Eagle isn't facing the Fell Beast "head on" (180 degrees), but slightly turned. I think that's how it was intended, really. I don't mind it anyway, it looks like the Eagle flew towards the Fell Beast with a curve and then attacking it. :rock

Gwahir appears to be looking more at the Wraith than the Fellbeast, yes?

Well I think you might be right as I was worried the peg was worn or something, in a way it makes it look more of an action pose I'll try to get photos up later, but don't want it to end up with the damn bird flying the opposite way or something :rotfl Its a great dio but I think its too big the bloody wingspan!!:lol SS I HAVE NO ROOM LEFT!!! :rotfl

I got mine today, #543, I couldnt believe how good that thing was packed in there, I was literally sweating bullets taking it out and assembling it.
Mine looks like it has a crack in one of the wings, but upon extremely closer inspection it isnt a crack, it looks like one, but it doesnt flex open like a crack would do, so I'm content that it is just an optical illusion.
I like how the spikes on the fell beast's back are flexible. I also couldnt belive how light it actually is, the base is heavy, but the actual figures are surprisingly light.
Very nice piece.

cool! btw, it may not be a requirement over at Chuck's but it is here. :D j/k. looking forward to your pics.

I received mine. Packed it right back up and returned it. Unless you're collecting the diorama line, this isn't a must have. I thought this piece would make a KILLER stand-alone piece, but it just doesn't. It's waaay too small. It 'feels' like an action figure instead of a statue. The detail just isn't there and the paintwork is just as weak as I suspected.

This is the only piece I've ever returned to Sideshow.

Congrats to those who are enjoying it.

I think its a great piece, I was so worried about it being broken when I got it tho, especially after I seen the outer box looking like it had been tossed in the gorilla pit for the "Ole Samsonite Test"

There was a 20 dollar gift card inside the box on mine, did anybody else get one with theirs?

Excellent pics Blu, what megapixel is your camera? Mine doesnt take pics anywhere near that good, mine is only 4 mp

I don't think the amount of pixels is the only quality-factor, there are more important things, such as the ISO, lens opening, shutter speed etc.
