This isn't exactly on topic, but I just wanted to belly ache somewhere.

I came across a lot of 3 Edward Scissorhands Figures on eBay. The 6", 9", and 18" figures.

Not sure what the 9" one is. And I already own the 6" one. But I have always wanted the 18" figure. Unfortunately it usually sells for between $150 and $200, so I have never entertained any real hope of owning one.

This is the auction I came across by accident the other day:

https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300399480542&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I "watched" the auction but kind of forgot about it assuming that it would quickly get to rich for my blood.

I didn't get the "watched item ending soon email notice until it was too late and it (the whole lot) sold for $65.05 SHIPPED!!! :banghead:banghead:banghead

I doubt I will ever get an opportunity like that again. :monkey2:monkey2:monkey2

1300doris just sent me a message through eBay because I blocked them and they want to bid again. Right, so they retracted their bid a few days ago for an incorrect amount and want to wait and bid again now that there's an hour to go and it's currently at a much lower price. :lol

Let's us know if you finish at a decent price on whatever you are selling.... :monkey1

It was the first Gameboy with all the original packaging. Only finished in the $30 range whereas with that tool's retracted bid, it was in the $80 range. :monkey2

I know it's not high dollar statues, but I feel retracting bids has no place on eBay since you are given a confirmation screen before you even submit your bid. :lecture

Agreed. Whenever I've had "Best Offer" items for sale scheduled to "auto decline" below a certain offer amount I've had people make offers until they exceed the auto decline and then retract the bid, just so they can see what the minimum was without committing to purchase. Lame.

Well I recently had an incident last night where I was selling an item (GI JOE 1984 Storm Shadow MOC) and the winning bidder sends me this... :banghead :banghead :banghead

Dear *********,

I have purchased the following from you on eBay. Please send me an invoice with the total amount that I owe you.

Thank You,
longroofer

hi, i need your address so i can send a money order if thats ok. i am having alot of issues with my paypal so you will get your money much faster this way. thanks, michael.

I would like to have the item shipped to the address below:
*********
********* Rd.
******, **. ***** United States

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If your auction states Paypal only, and they bid with that understanding, then they have no right to send a money order unless you allow it.

it's paypal only, word  and he's asking and I sent a message back denying it.

Question though how long do I have to wait til I relist this if he doesn't answer me, I sent him the message last night immediately after he sent me this e-mail?

I'm not sure about that one. In my past experience, I'll usually file a non-paying bidder claim, but that takes something like 2 weeks because you have to give the guy 7 days to pay before filing, then EBay contacts them and gives them another week or so. I have seen people immediately re-listing items, but I don't know how that works (maybe they just eat the fees twice)?

EBay may have some process where the buyer just refuses to adhere to your policy and they automatically reimburse you fees, but they are so buyer-centric that I'm not sure that they do.

not a big deal to eat the fees on this one, it went way lower than it should of anyways, the fees will be like $2.

I'm giving him til noon... :tap not allowing him to waste my time any further, time is money!

$2 in fees for a MOC 1984 Storm Shadow? Damn, that must have sold for a song! I get that in selling $15 toys. Do you have a store or something?

"Write that down" :lol

Yea I was quite upset on this crapping auction, it was total bull____ and it had like 25 watchers...
