Thanks. Nat (tailor) & Jacob (Rahmier84: painter) did a great job and
those are 2 very good contributors to the project.

We're very excited about the release and
when you have those types of artist working with you,
you have a great chance of making something special.

And even though I pushed Nat, he really likes the jacket now.
Which makes it all the better. Because when you like
your work, it turns out better.

I think that's the case here. It took awhile for us to get
on the same page, but when it finally clicked and our visions
came together, we got a pretty damn close to film accurate corduroy jacket.

So we're hoping we do justice to this character.
The fact that we love working on ROF figures
kind of makes it feel like it's not work at all...

Pre-weathering, I added some scuffs & scrapes and his ear com he has late in the movie.

Here's Quinn further along. Did another wash on the trench, now it's darker brown like it should be.
So now he's weathered, beatup and ready to go.

These shots were taken in natural sunlight. Though I
did photoshop out the backgrounds. Gives it a more realistic look I think but washes out the
trench color a little. Either way, I think he's getting close

I actually have some ash ready to use for the final weathering.
I normally just throw the ash in a slurry, but this time I'm going to
dry brush it on and see how it sticks. Towards the end of the movie
Quinn does appear to be covered in a film of ash and dirt. So
I'm going to see how close I can come without ruining your excellent
paint app.

I think his face and hands are still lacking a bit...time to get dirty

Here's a little Poster I was working on for Quinn.

The idea is the Special Edition will come with 2 heads, the 2 outfits/jackets to go with each head look, extra
accessories, weapons and a one of a kind dio/stand.

He is to launch the release and then the normal figures will follow.

Still waiting on the final corduroy jackets to get done/shipped.
Also a few more painted heads and the figures will be all assembled and
ready to go.

We're getting close.......

Thanks. I'm really enjoying working on the Quinns. Ever since I made the 1st one 3 years ago, I've been
wanting a better head and figure for him. Now I think we got that and I continue to try to improve each one.

Oh boy, look at all this 1/6 goodness. NAT sent me this picture yesterday saying that all
the corduroy jackets are ready and will ship soon.

So in a few weeks they'll be in-hand and after a little weathering,
the figures will be ready to go.

Of course you can post them.

Your painting bringing out the life of the sculpt, is just as important to the project as anything else.
Just like your project, when all the parts come together that will be the final test. I have high hopes
that the Quinn release will come together and end up surpassing my already high expectations.

Only time will tell.

Here's a quick fitting so you can see how it looks before any futzing or weathering.
The fit is tailored for a TTM-19 body style and it fits exactly how I asked it to fit.
Just like in the film, this jacket is supposed to be a little big on him and worn open.
Still lots of futzing and weathering going to happen, but you get the idea.

Thanks. I'm actually still going to make some mods to the bodies, so it lays more natural.
I'll dremel down the sides so there's more room for the arms to move closer to the body and
it gives the clothes more room to drape naturally. Then I'll take a little off the shoulders.
Right now with the sweater underneath, the shoulders look a little more bulky then they should.

So I'll work on that, plus futzing and weathering and then take pictures again.
I think I can get very close to spot on to how it looks in 1:1 once I do the mods.
