The Mk7 helmet looks... like crap. The Ant-Man and Starlord pieces on the other hand :clap Doesn't look like they made any further progress since SDCC on those 2 pieces though.

i wonder what the hell Efx is doing in their factory? How does it take them so long to release simple pieces like these and fail at it... and cost an arm and a leg for failure pieces -.-... like how bad can they be? they have the original molds right? Just a laughable company...

Anything you order from SS now is about a year and half away, I know EFX is terrible with their release but SS is getting there.

efx only does what, 2-3 items a year tops though? While SS does hundreds.......it shouldn't take longer for eFX to do anything when ECC and CM can put out quality items in 6 months. 1.5 years seems to be almost standard for wait time on a statue from a lot of companies, but those companies are usually doing a lot more items.

Whenever eFx announces a new product, this conversation resurfaces. The consensus people usually arrive on is that they simply don't have the money to run the production of the items. They use the funds of whatever is currently being sold to finance the next project... that's why everything takes forever! They make good stuff but we all hate the way they do business.

They should really go look for some investors or partner up with someone. There is so much money to be made in this business. There isn't a single other company out there that focus exclusively on props like these. Imagine how much money they could make if they put these out there on a more reliable schedule. Just by adding the numbers, their IM helmets (providing they sell all of them) will come to over a million dollars in sales. Like, do you know how easy it is to find 1500 people to buy props at the price they set? Now imagine all these people buying several props every year. And that's for Marvel alone. The number of people that would buy Star Wars props is probably around the 5000.

Anybody here wants to start a prop company?

I never knew that about the funding. For a company that has been around as long as they have, I don't get it. Does the owner run other companies like the owner of CM does? If that's the case, I can see why they don't make very many things.

the iron man helmet looks awful with its shiny gold finish. the ant-man helmet looks very tempting though. but i've given up on efx. they're useless at doing business. king arts is probably making a 1:1 ant-man helmet so i'll likely get theirs.

I got 2 of the Captain America posters, both for $20 total, at their booth, kinda happy about that. Someone almost knocked over their stealth shield but i caught it before it hit the floor, haha

I don't know if it's because I get to work with a lot of celebrities, but even before, I always found autographs overrated. I'd much rather prefer a photo op with someone famous over having their scribble, since most of the time that's what it is if they have to get through a few hundred/thousand a day. Just me I guess.

I feel the same way. With an autograph someone else could have written it or yourself. Or if you got an autographed picture it could have been from someone else. You can buy autographed photos. Even if it's authentic, you didn't get it yourself. At least with a picture people will now you met the person and it makes it more personalized. When I go to comic cons I don't purchase autograph ops, only the photo ops. I'd rather look back at myself posing with the celebrity than a scribble on a general photo.

So I get both.

I only purchase autographs if I'm the one actually getting the item signed, otherwise I don't bother. I'm also not big on autograph photos, I prefer to get statues, hot toys or props signed.

Heh, did you get it signed at Comikaze this weekend? I went yesterday but all the Stan Lee autograph tickets sold out and couldn't get some 1st appearance comics signed. :(

Sorry to hear you didn't get any. Hopefully, he won't be done signing anytime soon. Yes, I did Saturdays signing. Unfortunately, they only sell a certain amount of signing tickets each day. So you'd have to almost make a B-Line to his museum. Though, they sold in the hundreds of autograph tickets at 80$ a pop. it's always best to get there at earliest possible. Not to mention his autograph gets sloppier later in the day. Fortunately for me, I was number 30 in line, so I got some pretty fresh signatures.
