The eFX website is a travesty. My guess is that we'll hear about the pre-order here first, or through some of our more connected vendors...

Bryan usually posts on Rebelscum about pre-orders and such. We are all waiting there for news regarding the ANH Vader helmet and a schedule for the TIE Fighter too.

Seen that yesterday, but there is no comparison between the ultimate Vader collectible and the rebel pilot helmet ;)

I'm speaking out of ignorance on the efx helmets, but some of the pictures I've seen gives me pause because the plastic helmets looks thin, almost Halloween costume material quality. Do they line these with anything on the inside? Seems like they'd feel cheap if they're just a painted, thin plastic shell. I'd expect they'd do more to a $900 collectible. The one efx helmet I've see the inside of is the stormtrooper helm (a mere $150 piece), which just has some foam padding here and there inside.

Anyone able to set me straight on this?

My 3 MR Helmets LE (MR was basically the old efX) and they're all sturdy of fiberglass and have customized lined padding inside the helmet which adds a great touch. They're defiantly worth the money!

I have the EFX stormtrooper helmet it's fibreglass & padded, there are 2 lines I beleive a cheaper line made from ABS this is the one your talking about, I beleive the MC vaber & ANH will be Fibreglass

You're probably right then. I didn't know there were 2 versions. :)

That helps a lot. The efx looks a lot nicer. I'm really wanting to get one of these vader helms, but since I'm new to the efx line, want to be sure about them before dropping $900 on one.

There wouldnt be an insane amount of hype for this helmet (if you've followed this thread) if there was any worry about eFX's quality.
