kind of looks like a hotter version of Cameron Diaz:dunno

Congratulations, Verbal. Not hotter, the genuine article:

Cameron Diaz "W" magazine December 2006

Pic was taken less than five years ago, my friend :dunno. She's gone back to blonde (mistake), but she is still smokin'.

Take a look at some of the promo appearances she made for The Green Hornet (best = Jimmy Kimmel) and see if your head doesn't explode...:thud:

And, uh, oh yeah, that Darth Vader helmet is cool too (I won't be accused of hijacking...)

the Diaz photo is very much like the Vader Legend Helmet... it's all about the paint job.

spray tan? Think about all the air-brushing.

Yeah. Sometimes she's got that meth addict look to her. They had to have air brushed the hell out of that photo. She's 15 years younger looking than anything else I've seen in some time.

Something tells me, one day we'll be saying time was not kind when talking about her.

Congratulations, Verbal.

woohoo!:yess: But yeah, like others have said, I don't ever remember her being not-blonde.

But just to keep this thread on topic, how do you guys plan on displaying this piece? Besides having a Stormtrooper, Vader, Boba Fett display, I was thinking of maybe just displaying it on a shelf with this canvas print behind it.

I'll have Vader surrounded by Stormtrooper helmets: eFX LE, MR CE and SDS helmets. I wish I had the money, time, space and skills to make a 1:1 Vader to join my life-size Stormie....

I'm trying to decide whether to replace the helmet atop here, or display it on its own stand.

That's what I'm talking about!! Life-size Vader, beats any statue, figure, helmet or prop. Superb!! :clap BTW is your mannequin tall enough?

Thanks, Sergiu!

Well, I cheat a little bit on the mannequin. At one point, I built an extendor at the waist to give it extra height. It didn't work. It looked all wrong, and caused too much separation between the armor, chestbox, and belt. So I basically shaved off the head of the mannequin, making the neck where the head used to be, and padding it a bit. It's proportions aren't perfect, but it looks right to me. Without the helmet on, it's about 6'4" - 6' 5". Depending on who you talk to, Prowse was somewhere in that range. I've seen some people overdo it with both bulk and height, and I don't like the look. I have lots of padding if I ever want to bulk it more, but it looks right to me. The part of it I don't like is the arms. I have to do some flexible wire-based arms, but I'm not sure how to attach them to the mannequin's torso.
