Depending on how they handled it, either one. I still have my order--fine, happy. If I got a "sorry..." email, with a steep discount on a future product or a guaranteed spot in their next Vader, then I would be equally happy. Someone is always going to win and someone is always going to feel they were cheated. The situation of 364, I'm sure, is upsetting to most. I differ, because I don't feel they handled it properly to the original 250, whether I'm one of them or not. Judging by this board and that on Rebelscum, eFx seems to have avoided consumer backlash that is certainly due.

The Print and Sig does help. They could have just increased the ES without any additions.

I hope the Print is ONLY for this helmet and ONLY 364 prints are made and can't be bought anyplace else, ever...

Maybe we should all lobby to get Jones' signature also. If enough ask, who knows....

I replied to their email to do just that. I even said please. :)

Well, it is what it is, we ain't going back.

But, think about it, nobody 'new' got a helmet.

The number of people who had a confirmed helmet is the same as before
and the number of people who didn't get the helmet is also the same.

So did anything really change...

I'm just happy that I'm getting the helmet -- the limited run was always just a plus -- I initially thought they were going to make equal amounts of both -- doesn't really matter to me as I never planned on ever getting rid of mine --

for every person who doesn't want it because there's 114 more, there is another who wants it because it comes with a litho, and another b/c there's a signature...I think the addition makes for more demanding item -- think of it -- the ones that are complete sets (litho , sig, etc) in the future will be of greater value than the incomplete ones...

I wonder if they'll adjust the edition down after cancellations, or fill wait listers.

More power to the people who are "ok" with this, but it just doesn't sit well with me and I gotta vent somewhere, fellas.

I know.
Point is it's not so bad...
364 is still far less than any Vader helmet made before (excluding the McVader which has a niche market appeal anyway) - realistically they should've made more ANH Legends than the McVaders because of that reason alone, so 360ish for me would've actually have been a more realistic number to offer...maybe even 500
(don't get any ideas, eFX!)
-- it's just what I would've initially expected...

I was happy to hear that it was only 250, but worried I may not be able to snag one (the Vader helmet was the single most important thing I ever wanted Vader-wise as a kid since 77)...and truth is, if it were still only 250 I may not have my name on this list anymore, so I'm extremely thankful I wasn't cut out...which could very well have been the case...if they made 1,000 I'd be asking for a discount right now...but they made just enough to accommodate the few who ordered...not like they're trying to make an extra buck...they'd have avoided this if they could, but they did the best they could with the situation at hand --

guaranteed, if I lost my order as a result, I'd be FAR more vocal than anyone complaining about the extra 114 added to the number. eFx took the option that'd had the least negative outcome with the best possible intent.

114 of us losing our orders would've been a terrible mess for eFx with lots of angry letters and phonecalls -- the worst anyone can rightfully do now is cancel.

Worst scenario I'd hate for anyone to give them grief for this and then they just decide it's not worth trying to please the fans if not all and then refund everyone and that'd just ruin it for everyone...

it is laughable equating a discount due to an slightly increased edition size. this is THE GRAIL people! see past the trappings of limitations! owning a Legend will not make one special no matter how small the run is.

precisely my point...I am just happy 114 of us weren't randomly excluded...

I think Avenger's point is that eFx is treating the initial allotment of 250 with disregard, and I agree. A slight increase would be an additional 5 or 10 helmets, not 114, which is a major disruption. To discount the original edition size as a major selling point of this piece is silly. Relatively speaking, the larger the edition size, the less coveted this piece becomes. Sure, it may still be a cool piece, but knowing there was only going to be 250, made it all the more desirable.

This.:exactly:

I too was bummed when I first read the edition size was increased. But then I saw the bigger picture - Any of us could have been in the 114. I think there's a tendency to say, "Hey, why'd they give an order to 114 other guys?" But what people aren't realizing is, there is no "other guys" because any one of us could've been part of that extra 114, and rather than having our order revoked, we're getting a couple other goodies. Really, I think this is being blown out of proportion. There are better things to get riled about. If the helmet comes out looking crummy, then out with the pitchforks. But this is really nothing to get all dramatic about.

I'm sure the auto was coming regardless of the mishap. I think the only extra gift is the litho.

I care less about getting the autograph and print than I do about not getting my order revoked.

I will say, as someone who had their order for the Olly Moss Star Wars posters revoked after the fact by Mondo, that it really really sucks. I certainly wouldn't wish that on anyone, particularly for something you really wanted (I was sort of lukewarm about the Olly Moss posters, so I could brush it off). So as I have said, I definitely don't think canceling orders would have been preferable. That said, it's still kind of a crappy situation all around. I think the people who are upset about it have a right to be, at least to some degree. But eFX has done just about everything they can (especially considering that they don't want to alienate a lot of customers).

I tell you what Greatfire why don't you sell me yours for $500.00 when you get it because “it has lost value. There are now more available in the market with less demand.” and we can call it day. Then I can sell both of the LE helmets I had to order because I couldn't get a legend. Count your lucky stars man cuz you got possible one of the best collectibles of all time no matter what the ES is. It makes me sick when people get so bent out of shape because they are just greedy. You're not a true collector if you can’t just be happy you were able to purchase one in the first place. There is no worse feeling for a true collector to have their grail set in front of them knowing it will be theirs then snatched away crushing their excitement. So I don't want to read how unhappy you are about the ES size because like demorathis mentioned he’d rather have one than not. eFX did the right thing by increasing he ES because it would’ve been bad move to cancel orders and lose customers forever.
