Hmm.. My interest in the limited vader is gradually fading particular after seeing all the nice stuff at comic con.

So I picked up my Limited Vader today and was pretty damn happy. Firstly, that it didn't have the, now infamous, dome rubbing issues, and secondly that there were no other major issues.

The first thing I noticed was a scratch on the base so I took it straight back to my dealer who happily swapped it for another.

As we examined the scratched base further we discovered that it was a bit of fluff under the perspex. The base is actually made up of three layers; the bottom mdf, then the brushed aluminum, and finally the top layer of perspex. The four screws in each corner unscrew easily so you can clean, etc. So in the end I didn't have a damaged product, but it was so comforting to have my local dealer be so happily accommodating to rectify the issue immediately.

There are some "pops" in the mold and dirt in the paint causing it to have tiny dust bumps here and there, but you have to look closely to really nit-pick this piece.

eFX HAVE DONE AN AMAZING JOB, everyone who owns this, or was fortunate enough to get the Legend, have acquired a piece of history.

BTW: I noticed some legend owners asking about the scratches on the lenses, and mine are also scratch-free (to further run with the idealized version I suppose?).

Overall, I'm VERY happy and relieved.

Very happy, because I finally have an amazing Vader helmet.

Relieved, because I'm not going to have to go through the heartache of waiting on eFX to send out a replacement for a faulty product that so many others are having to deal with.

I sincerely feel for you guys and hope that your issues are resolved soon.

To be honest my friend I almost completely lost my interest in eFX Vader, and in fact in all eFX offerings. After I get the TIE Fighter (if we EVER get it) I might take a total break from eFX. They simply act like they don't want our money, so why should I bother giving it to them since there are so many great options out there.

Just got the mailing confirmation from my local dealer so should have my Limited Edition on Monday or Tuesday.

This is in Australia so I'm surprised I don't see a whole bunch of in hand limited edition pictures here.

This is pretty damn good and as pissed off as I am with eFX I'd recommend you grab this if you are considering it. This and the Tie and game over. Personally, I'd love the Slave 1 but I simply don't believe eFX will ever do it.

Once the Tie arrives, they can go frak themselves as far as I'm concerned. They're clowns...

totally agree, they are a totally woeful with customer service, I didn't even get a courtesy acceptance of my cancellation and their free money

Yep, Popcultcha here too. I paid in full back in April of 2011. Hurt then, but feels great now.

I plan on doing the same with the droids PF. PC have been good and update often as opposed to CF and some others as mentioned. I don't feel comfortable paying a large deposit or in full for a long way in advance product unless I'm confident they will still be around when the item is released. The others don't inspire that confidence at the moment. It also helps the PC is the main store for the official Australian importer, Ikon.

Looks nice Mandible. Toowoomba here and i have mine ordered thru CF and heard nothing as well. Have the tie ordered thru SecretCompass so i hope both come thru for me. Got the Dewback thru CF and had no problems there.
