Not speculation it's official.I chatted with Sideshow CS 1 hour ago and was told No more Elder.

I actually was one step from ordering it this weekend, but stuck with waiting to see the ES. I did the same with Godzilla and it went WL the next day, with no alerts to "less than 10 remain", etc. Godzilla WL converted in a couple days, but they won't let me use rewards so cancelled and not looking back. That's about $1100 they lost, just from me on these two, but it doesn't seem to bother them. I'm starting to feel the same.

For something I was really looking forward to I actually couldn’t give a damn that it’s cancelled. This was always going to arrive as a big box of loose quills and dreads for most people and I think SS knew it.

That's my guess too. They realized that this would be a final delivered nightmare and why put themselves through it.

Hopefully this doesn't herald the end of this line... I honestly don't give a poop that they cancelled it. Wasn't super fond of the sculpt anyways... but since I'm a completest whore I ordered it... Here's to SSC redoing the sculpt and rereleasing it later...

I'm hoping they cancelled it due to Q.C. issues from either the Elder itself or from prior LSB's. The factory that has been making these would not get their butts in gear if their wallets weren't hit. What better way than to terminate a product line?

We'll likely never know for sure - but I'd be happier if this WAS the reason. At least then Sideshow could point to this with OTHER suppliers as a warning to them - basically "get your act together or we walk on you too".

That may be, but I expect the death of the line now though. With so many QC and breakage problems with the Aliens and now the slow sales of the masked bust and apparently this it is unlikely we see any further ones. They either can't get good QC or avoid breakage where the whole thing needs replaced. It is a shame, I wanted to get this.

Just heard about this cancellation over on the Big Chap thread. It's a damn shame to the few that were looking forward to this &, like Stingray suggested, this may well be the end for both the Alien & Predator Legendary Scale Bust lines. The problems with the Big Chap & the lack of quality control & all of the unhappy customers & the returns & refunds must've played a part in this being dropped, I would imagine. Although I'm sure that receiving so few orders for it must be partly to blame, too. I wonder if they even got as many as 100 for this.

While I had decided not to get the Elder (didn't like the sculpt), I'm hoping they don't cancel the masked one. I'd like at least one LSB and it's my favorite.

It is partially their own fault. People are not pre ordering anymore on TBD stuff so what do they expect?

I really hope they don't cancel the whole LSB line, and they're just finding a new manufacturer for these. While I was never going to get the Elder LSB I have hopes for the Runner Alien to make it to the LSB line. That and I won the Masked Hunter LSB back during the contest and I'd hate to lose out. I think that one looks great. It would be a shame if they cancelled it too.

The masked P1 has been set a relatively healthy ES, although it did drop by 100 a while back and the reg has been cut for further orders it seems (nobody wants open ES) EX should be fine. I also suspect we will still see a Dog Alien, I hope so anyway. But the sheer amount of damage that seems to be caused during production on this line is unacceptable, I'm sure Sideshow agree.
