Really fantastic so far. HUGE improvements over Oblivion. The first dungeon is awesome and really sets the standard high and kills any dungeon I can think of in Oblivion. Great stuff.

I can't stop! I love making assassin type characters in these games. I'm using a Nord and have very high sneak and bow skills. It's awesome!

Nice! I always end up creating the good guy character. I'm using a Redguard human male now. I named him "Thor Hammersfall" (wink, wink! :wink1: ). Having fun! I gotta run back to that first cave. I went past it by mistake. I'll get back to it. I agree graphically this game blows away Oblivion. We're all at the beginning of it too. :)

I haven't had any issues with the game on my Xbox 360...yet. Hopefully I won't before they do the patch.

Well l am about 4 hours in, great so far, but there are a few things that really annoy the hell out of me.

1. Your health meter regenerates by itself, l hate it, it takes the skill out of it. When l am in a dungeon and get my ass kicked a bit l don't even need to use health supplies because by the time l meet the next group of bad guys l am full again.

2. You can heal yourself with magic, so again you don't need food or health supplies. I am pretty much invincible, wich makes really no challenge. In Fallout i was always stocking up on health supplies because you needed it.

3. The auto save isn't overwriting itself. l play for half an hour and look at my saves and l have like over 5 auto saves, then l have to go and delete all the older ones. their other games the auto save wouldn't do that.

4. Don't really like the fixng of armor and weapons. Before you just have two of the same item and you combine them and there in better condition. I also don't like the way it shows the condition of your items, l find it kind of confusing, don't see why they don't just have condition bar/meter like in Fallout.

And l don' notice any problems on my 360. I didn't see an option to install or what ever.

It was the same in Oblivion.
But you're not invincible. You're just only 4 hours in and still in the very beginner levels. You'll find stuff soon enough that destroys you :)

The health meter did go up in Oblivion also , l don't remember, haven't played it since 2006 (l got every achievment in it wth the DLC) so l am not new to his, just don't remember much about it.

Is the Skyrim install a FULL game install? How many gigs is it?

Or is it a "partial install" like they did on some other games?

Man, I'm totally hooked on this thing. Took the day off yesterday and played for about 7 hours. I can't remember the last time I did that. It's hard to walk away from.

DAMNIT !!!! All these comments make me want to get the game now :lol I was going to wait for a GOTY edition with all the DLCs which I'm sure will come out, but now I don't want to

Yea, I stumbled across a giant and he killed me with one hit.

I like that when you are over burdened, you can walk really slowly back to town instead of being frozen in place. I went on my first quest and crawled back with enough stuff to sell that now I can afford to buy a horse.

If you played a minute of this game you wouldn't be able to voluntarily put it down and wait for the GotY edition to finish.

Best game eveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer.
