Electric Tiki Buffy Line

You should be anxious. These are really fun pieces. Every time I look at ours I get that giddy like a school girl feeling. I just want to stare at them. And I do. I'm not ashamed, haha.

Anyone who doubted this line shouldn't, cause it's really a lot of fun. The only piece I don't mind going without would have been dark Willow. I would have rather had a Spike or even Caleb in place of her. Or you know, Faith's sooner. Boy would I love to see Faith's now. It's going to be amazing! And I will definitely pose Faith with the knife. I already have 2 Buffy's with Stakes, so why not make Faith different.

I'm really loving the Spike sketches. I just pray that Tracy doesn't get into the habit of making exclusives because I really hate when I see two of the same statue. Just make one and make it very limited. But the spike concept designs are a lot of fun and he looks great! And if I can choose, I want him with the long black coat over the red button shirt.

Anyways...I'm enjoying looking at tracy's sketches, just wish he had some new ones. Since he gets to continue this line, I'd love to see designs on what will be worked on next.

Buffygirl, I need some help!!! I just got Dark Willow. Everything arrived mint, HOWEVER, I still can't figure out how to make it stand on the "flames." There's no peg or anything. I'm looking at the box but still can't get it to work. Will you be able to take a close-up of the base on your Vengeance Willow for illustration purposes?

It's almost as if the feet are spread too far apart to fit into the flames???

They shouldn't be. Did you get them in eventually?

My Vengeance Willow has a hard time in her flames. She either leans back too much or forward too much. You win some, you lose some in this case. Buffy's both worked out great for me though, and Dark Willow too. I know Desi had trouble with V Willow.

Well, I got it to work, but I literally had to squeeze the legs together to get it to fit. That's how tight the fit is.

I don't know if I should return it and try again on another, but this is a little ridiculous IMO. I mean the statue looks great, but the "floating" design and sliding her feet into the "flames" was NOT the best of display ideas IMO. Why no pegs? Honestly, I can almost guarantee that I'm going to come home and find this piece broken.

The good news is that I ended up buying a second Dark Willow as back-up should something like this happen. It should be here next week sometime.

Over excited? Dunno how I did that. Re-doing a statue means that they still plan to have it made. And I am very happy if it's far off because I want to get other things beforehand. I already paid for glory so I'm good with items for now.

I meant that since you love the old sketches, the new design might disapoint you.

And I think Spike's a sure bet, they told me over email that the Spike design was approved. Of course, that was before I heard about Faith. Might take years before we get Spike.

And Chapter, I had to re-position the Willows several times. I thought I had put them right, but tried again, and they fit better. Not that they're a 100 per cent steady even now.

I mean this is REALLY unsteady. I spent almost 45 minutes meticulously trying to place it and I did the best I could, but I'm definitely not satisfied. Now, with that said, I can LIGHTLY touch it (emphasis on the word "lightly",) BUT if I were to brush up against it....It would fall in a heartbeat!!!!

Let me take a few photos and I'll have them up in a few hours. I looked at the Sideshow website's photos of this piece to get the best comparison as possible. But this is really a disappointment.

It's unfortunate but it looks like that's how the Willows are. Although my Dark Willow is fine, my V Willow is like your DW. So, it's hit or miss.

Is your Dark Willow stable though? Mine stands straight and looks great, but it's not sturdy.

Well, like I said, I do have another coming next week. So if that one arrives the same way, I won't let it bother me. And in which case, look for a FS thread from me soon because I don't need two Dark Willows. One is quite enough.

Well, I appreciate your thoughts on this one because I'm feeling the SAME way!! I love the sculpt, but the design....no comment. I don't quite see how this design passed the final cut????

And now that I know what to expect with Vengeance Willow, I can honestly say that I'm NOT looking forward it. (Although, I will still get one. )

PS - It's been roughly an hour and no crashes yet!!! I guess that's a victory, right?

Dark Willow is perfectly stable, Vengeance Willow however, is not. I can touch her and such but if I bumped her I think she'd smash o crash!

Does Tracy (I assume that's the Electric Tiki designer) have an account here? I say that because that person has an account on the BTVSfigs Forum and I believe over at Statue Forum. But I don't think they have one here. I'd really like to hear from them and give us "insider" updates on occasion. While I may not be the biggest fan of the Dark Willow piece, the overall BTVS line from Electric Tiki is amazing IMO. I'm really glad I got started when I did, and can't wait to see what lies in store after Faith.

Here she is! Again, not the best of pictures. It's difficult because the back of my curio is a mirror, so EVERYTHING reflects off of it.

And yes, that is the tip of the sword from the Angel PF making a "guest appearance."

I think Willow's safe. Angel can catch her if she falls(unless he's too busy with his hair). Spike might save her too(you know, to impress Buffy).

Seeing those pics makes me itch. I really want to go on ebay and buy a Spike exclusive, but I think I'll wait until I get a job(which, considering I'm still a student, will take a while). That's statue is so cool. Not so sure about the coat tough...

Do you guys use the tiki boxes for display? I think they look so good, so I have them on top of the book cases, crammed in between the top/roof of the bookcase and ceiling.

I would never be able to hide those boxes. I keep them in the closet though, haha.
