I'm not complaining maybe by the time I get the money she'll still be in stock
So, the Exclusive shipped first, then a bunch of people like me returned them, and now it's in stock before the Regular is even shipping. That tells you something, doesn't it? Sideshow blew it.
Obviously, I disagree. I understand that you didn't like it. But your earlier comment implied that only fans of the comic (as opposed to fans of the "real" Elvira) would like this piece, and that simply isn't true.
Perhaps you can provide a list of the "bunch" of people who returned it?
Someone returned Elvira? I find this shocking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ahh, I perceive now. You are still mistaken, but only in that your premise is flawed. A piece returning to second chance status is not an indication that people returned it. It is an indication that people either canceled their order, or their credit card was declined (which also results in a cancellation). As far as I understand it, a piece that is returned from a customer cannot be sold again as new. Perhaps someone from Sideshow can clarify their particular policy, but that is fairly standard business practice. Returned items can be resold, even at the same price as new items, but they are typically designated as returned merchandise. And, it's not my opinion that people have returned it. Obviously people returned it (or cancelled their orders) because the Exclusive is no longer sold out, is it? 2+2=4.
As I said earlier, I understand that you don't like the piece, and there is nothing wrong with that. I can even understand your disappointment to a degree. I too would have loved a classic realistic pose, but that doesn't, in my opinion, detract from this piece at all. I don't know if you are aware, but Cassandra gave her approval and endorsement for this sculpt. That should count for something, shouldn't it?I'm every bit a fan of Elvira as any of you here, but I hated this piece. It's awesome if it's comic style, but compare it to an actual pic of Elvira and it's cartoony. I have never ever seen her in that Snow White pose holding a large, cartoon bat, or standing next to something as cheezy as that candle holder. I like realism in my statues, and it does not capture the real Elvira. I shouldn't have to say that's my opinion, it's a fact. The opinion is that it's a great figure to you. It doesn't do her justice in my opinion. Especially not for $318 with tax and shipping in California.
Hopefully somebody will do another one, or Sideshow will do a second, realistic portayal.
I'd like a realistic version more than the one we got but I'm still getting this. If they do a realistic version later on I'll trade this one it to get it
Elvira may have turned down the Amoktime 1/4 scale because of whatever deal she had with Sideshow. License issues very often screw the fans that would buy certain products if only they could get approved.
I wouldn't count on this. Amoktime had two really nice prototypes of a 1/4 scale PF sculpted by Linn Michaels and a 1/6th scale figure by Joy Snyder. Both really captured Cassandra as Elvira. From what I was told her reps would not approve either sculpt for production. Amoktime has a 7 inch Elvira coming out which is a nice looking figure, but the likeness is not there. Seems fairly obvious that Elvira doesn't want any merchandise out there that looks to close to the real thing. After months of prodding I finally convinced Linn Michaels to send me a picture of the 1/4 scale. This was the first pass at completing the sculpt and the sculptor feels it needs more work. Based on this information it seems unlikely that a "realistic" Elvira is going to be offered. As a licensed product anyway.

It's here... surprised to see a small package for a pf... smallest ever. Seems to be packed differently, a different seal of quality etc. Nice piece.
